where a decision will be made as to where this years event will be,
the swell is up and the wind is looking to turn offshore

GAME ON FOLKS, THE WAIT IS OVER, ITS FINALLY HERE!!🌊🕺🌊🕺

This coming Saturday sees the 6th year running of BOOGIE MADNESS!! aka the Taranaki Bodyboarding Champs!!

Conditions at this stage are looking good as waves and favourable winds and tides are on the horizon, and with a change in the comp format there’s sure to be some serious action out in the water

Accepting late entries at this stage as there is still a few spots lefts in each division
PM me asap to secure a spot

I’ll update again on Friday or sooner as to where and what time to meet on Saturday morning

2 WEEKS TO GO!!

change of format:
This years boogie madness will be moving away from the traditional wave heat scoring system of most moves on a wave (spinning all the way to the beach)😵‍💫😴
To biggest move/ combo only
Change also coming in the form longer heats with more competitors in the water, hunting down a big move, all surfers will surf twice
with a combined heat score determining the winners of each division
so far we have about 8 in open, 10 in masters, and 6 in the dk

Cut off for entry is this friday, so Pm me asap if you’re keen on being part of this year’s event

Finally on a personal note it had been a really heavy week leading up to BOOGIE MADNESS this year with the passing of my Dad on the Monday
As unwell as Dad was in recent years, he still managed to get down to BOOGIE MADNESS wherever it was to take in the scene, he loved it and he’d be the first to say the show must go on💪
