This weekend we are lucky to have one of our newest club members running the kitchen - Chantel Webber! If you've seen her son Ashton around the club, you'll know he's one of our youngest up and comers - all funds raised will go towards helping him get to North Island Junior Age Groups over in the Hawkes Bay, and Junior Nationals in Auckland later this year.

I've got my eyes on an all day big breakfast, how about you?

Come and check out the action!!

You might have noticed a few new beverages in the Hand Inn, and that's thanks to our new partnership with Shining Peak Brewing!

Proudly born, raised and brewed in Taranaki - their name reflects its Māori origins: “tara” meaning mountain peak, and “naki” from “ngaki,” meaning shining.

Their award-winning craft beers celebrate Taranaki history, telling the unique, and often unheard, stories of our region and the good people who make it so legendary.

Steve and Athol made it their mission to sample every single new beer in the collection, and Skunk Juice Hazy IPA sang to them the loudest - what's your favourite?

We’re proud to share Destination Kāwaroa won the Beca Award for Excellence in Placemaking at last night’s LGFA Taituarā Local Government Excellence Awards! 🎉

Delivered in partnership with Ngāti Te Whiti, Taranaki Foundation and New Plymouth Partners, this vibrant foreshore space celebrates Taranaki’s identity - recognised by judges as a standout example of placemaking this year.

We'd like to take a minute to acknowledge our major sponsor for the Central Open & PSA this weekend - Ross and Jane Gadsby from Janes Gallery Ltd, right here in New Plymouth.

For over 45 years, Janes Gallery has been New Plymouth’s most trusted name in custom picture framing. Located in the heart of the CBD, they specialise in bringing your most precious pieces to life - from original artworks and family photographs to sports memorabilia, certificates, and cherished keepsakes.

Whether you’re here to discover original art or preserve something special, you’ll find thoughtful craftsmanship and genuine service at Janes Gallery.

They have been part of KP Squash for many many years, and sponsored our tournaments for as long as I can remember. We really appreciate everything you do for not just our squash club, but for the community, and we are proud to be supported by local businesses and awesome club members. Thanks Ross and Jane!!

🔥 JANES GALLERY CENTRAL OPEN & PSA 2026🔥
The draws are now LIVE on MySquash Competitions. Please check your first game times - for some lucky locals you have a Thursday night first match - I will endeavour to contact you today to give you a heads up.
With 134 entries and a tonne of travellers, I appreciate those who have been allocated the late shift. Embrace it.

Bar and kitchen allocations have been sent out to members - we really do appreciate your help in running this huge event for the club.

Super lucky to have club sponsor Jacinta from Reboot Physio & Rehab onsite over the weekend too for all your physio needs.

Chantel Webber is running the kitchen as a fundraiser for her son Ashton to get to some massive junior tournaments this year so make sure to throw her plenty of support 🤙

Shout out with any questions/concerns, otherwise travel safe and we will see you soon!
