‘Away’ Walk. 25 or so walkers - didn’t have any joggers today.
Lake Mangamahoe on a perfect autumn morning.
Scenery was certainly the winner.

Sunday 03 May 2026 - AWAY WALK - LAKE MANGAMAHOE.
Be ready to walk at 8am.
Enter from SH 3, Junction Road, opposite Mangorei Hall, Lake Mangamahoe Road
Meet at the far end of Lake Mangamahoe..
This is an off road circuit - 5 - 6 k. We will allow a little more than an hour as it could be slower going in places although it is a well formed track.
Depending on how the weather has been, it could be a bit wet so if you have walking poles, bring them in case.
It is not a hard out walk, and we won't do the upper trails but it is not pavement either.
Coffee / Tea / Social Time - Drive back to Quails Nest Eatery - 1a Burgess Hill Road
