The Schools Alpine Competition is back for 2026 at Cardrona Alpine Resort, Wānaka, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest one yet! This is the 4th annual event, and it continues to grow every year 🙌

👥 Open to: NZ & Australian students (Years 2–13)
🎿 Open to both skiers & snowboarders

🐎 Equestrian Opportunity – NISS Championships (Winter Tournament Week)

Calling all equestrian students!

We are seeking expressions of interest for the NISS Championships, held during Winter Tournament Week:

📅 Sunday 30 August – Thursday 3 September

This is a fun-filled week where you will represent SHGC and ride as part of a school team – a fantastic opportunity to compete, connect, and enjoy a great team atmosphere.

Events include:
-Show Jumping
- Show Hunter
- Dressage
- Arena Eventing
- Games
- Quiz (new this year!)

You can enter up to 4 ridden classes plus the quiz.
📄 The schedule is attached in STUDENT TEAMS so please have a read to see what is on offer.

Important:
You must be able to provide transport for yourself and your horse
You will need to stay on site for the week (float or truck accommodation)
