NOT EVERY KID WANTS TO PLAY SPORT OR COMPETE. SOME WANT TO CREATE.

Our AOD Art Classes are a space for kids, teens and adults to slow down, use their imagination and learn how to turn an idea into something they can actually see on the page.

These aren’t simply “sit down and do some copying and colouring” classes. Students are learning real creative and visual design skills in an age-appropriate, hands-on way.

They’ll explore colour, composition, shape, line, character, storytelling and design elements, while developing the confidence to experiment and create work that is genuinely their own.

RIGHT NOW, WE’RE CREATING COMICS!

Our students are currently designing their own original comic characters and learning how to bring them to life through comic strips.

They’re exploring character design, expressions, poses, personality, colour choices, backgrounds and visual storytelling, then using those skills to create their own sequences and stories.

It’s creative. It’s imaginative. And there’s no requirement for everyone’s work to look the same.

We want students to develop their own artistic voice, learn new techniques and become confident making creative decisions.

Art is also a fantastic option to combine with another AOD class. Come straight from Art into Dance, Drama or Acro, or have one sibling in Art while another is dancing.

WEDNESDAY ART CLASSES

Ages 8 to 11
4:30 to 5:30pm

Teens + Adults
5:30 to 6:30pm

Hip hop workshops loading.......

We’ve got something seriously exciting coming up: Hip Hop Workshops with two incredible guest instructors, and EVERYONE is welcome!

Get ready to learn from:

🌟 TATE MILLER, an IDCO dancer and world hip hop competitor, placing 4th at IDL in Sydney and 4th in the world at the Hip Hop International World Championships.

🌟 BRYLEE GIBBES, an Auckland-based hip hop dancer with IDCO, who competed at the 2023 World Hip Hop Dance Championships in Phoenix, Arizona, taking silver with mega-crew Yung ID and placing in the world’s top six with all-girls crew Masque.

This is a rare chance for our dancers to train with world-level talent, learn fresh choreography, and level up their hip hop skills in a fun, high-energy environment.
