💚💛 SATURDAY 13TH JUNE RESULTS 💛💚

The sun was shining on Saturday for our teams last matches of round one grading ☀️

A dominant performance for Wahine Tahi against SHGC sees the team finish 2nd on the table and secure their place in section 8 moving into round two of grading starting this weekend. A special mention to the defence end for keeping the opposition to only 4 goals for the entire second half 🙌🏻

Player of the day: Michaela Young

A super close contest for Wahine Rua against Western Suburbs. An amazing fight back in the second quarter to level the score at the 3rd quarter break but unfortunately falling just short at the final whistle. We are super proud of the effort put in by the girls staying competitive until the end against a very strong opposition. Wahine Rua remain in section 10 for the next round of grading 🏐

💚💛 SATURDAY 6TH JUNE RESULTS 💛💚

Thankfully we managed to beat the rain last weekend!

While Wahine Rua had a bye round, Wahine Tahi took to the court for a hard fought battle against NPOB. Down at half time with an intense team chat at the break, the girls went back out on court and worked together to settle into a good rhythm in the second half. The encouragement, support and sportsmanship shown from both teams was awesome and it was a great game from both sides.

💚💛 SATURDAY 13TH JUNE FIXTURES 💛💚

After 3 weeks of defaults, long weekends and bye rounds, both our Woodleigh teams are back in action this Saturday at Waiwhakaiho Netball Park 🏐

This weekends matches are the last games of round one grading with promotion/relegation to take place before the round two grading draws are released next week 🙌🏻

Wahine Tahi currently sits 2nd on the table in section 8 on 13 points and Wahine Rua sits in an incredible four-way tie for 2nd in section 10 with Bell Block Marist, NPGHS and Western Suburbs on 4 points! ⭐️

We would love to see you down at the courts supporting our girls in green this Saturday 🥰

Our Wahine Tahi girls are back to courts tomorrow after a break for Kings Birthday weekend. We are crossing our fingers and toes that the rain disappears by morning 🤞🏻

💚💛 SATURDAY 23RD MAY RESULTS 💛💚

Our teams took a break over the long weekend with no matches being played across the satellites for Kings Birthday. Wahine Tahi won their match last Saturday by default to SHGC.

BUT… We are so incredibly proud of Wahine Rua who secured their first win of the season against NPGHS!! After a wayward start with a few players not being able to make it at the last minute meaning no subs for most of the match and players playing out of position, the team was down at half time. They came out in the last half to score an impressive 10 goals in a row in the third quarter! And after settling well into the last quarter, took the win 28-21. Congratulations ladies 🥰

💚💛 SATURDAY 16TH MAY RESULTS 💛💚

A beautiful sunny day last Saturday for our second games of the season 🏐

An incredible match for Wahine Tahi up against an extremely talented NPGHS Snr A3 side! A very tight contest right until the end with a lengthy period of goal for goal for both sides in the second half. With only 7 players and no subs the girls fought a hard battle to fall short by just 2 goals and picking up a crucial bonus point 👏🏻

Player of the match: Tam Phillips

Another tough match for Wahine Rua against a fit Waitara High School team but the improvement from game one was evident with the team almost doubling their previous matches total goals! They continue to build and we are so proud of the performance they put out on the court 🥰

Results for our teams first games of the winter season 🏐

Amazing outing for Wahine Tahi on the back of 3 wins in the Satellite Preseason Tournament the prior weekend. Playing a very talented youth Western Suburbs team with a very heavy downpour in the third quarter! They powered through tricky court conditions and a very slippery ball to take the win!

Player of the day: Kelsi Hatfield

Tough day for Wahine Rua against a very experienced Marist side. The rain in the 11am round meant the court and ball were incredibly tricky to manage. It was also the first time the whole team were together on court! Onwards and upwards!
