Great work Tahunanui Business and Citizens Association and the community of volunteers and residents who have worked so hard on this for over two years. Ka pai! Well done.

Just to let everyone know Tahunanui Business and Citizens Association (TBCA) signed an agreement with Nelson Airport on Friday.

Media have a joint statement now from both the TBCA and Nelson Airport.

The TBCA have a Board Meeting tomorrow morning and will make a statement after.

THANK YOU ALL for your continued support of our Tahunanui beachside community. Sadly, this Plan Change could have been handled a lot better, with advocacy both from NCC and our MP, for our community and with clear transparency.

Arts Council Nelson are running a collaborative crochet project to create a canopy of crochet squares that will be displayed in a laneway in Nelson once it’s complete. Elma Turner Library is hosting a square here for people to add to. Come and crochet! No need to bring anything—just drop in and join the fun.

We're so happy for Tāhuna Beach Holiday Park finding a way forward protecting the homes of their permanent residents and being able to continue as a business near Nelson Airport.

Great work to the people who have put in so much work to prevent a very successful local business and a regionally significant business from failing. We're so proud of you and happy for the residents.

❗❗❗ Now the same courtesy needs to be applied to other local residents, who are going to be struggling IF PC30 comes to pass – ‘Future-proofing’ the Airport – the burden should not fall on airline operators, businesses, neighbouring communities or the ratepayers of Nelson and Tasman. ❗❗❗

The sounds of spring, lots of bird song and chicks on their way. Some Kākāriki have hatched at Natureland Wildlife Trust which is exciting!

Nothing says spring like chicks! 🐣🌸

Fuzzy little yellow-crowned Kākāriki from this season. After reaching maturity and undergoing health assessments, these little ones will be released into the wild to help repopulate this vulnerable species.
