The old suspension mule gets a rework!
One of the big selling points when carbon frames became mainstream was the ability to easily repair them if damaged. Or in this case, to chop it up and rework it to give more of a modern/custom geo.
The old V2 Nomad circa 2009 was always a good bike, but now with some rear triangle lengthening, dropping the BB about 50mm and a few other tweaks it can get amongst things again!
27.5/29, 230x65 shock, maximised length dropper post, +2 degree headset, a wheelbase in the fun zone rather than the sled zone and ground hugging Syors and Deville suspension, its all ready for more mule duty!

Nice shiny new STOY 3 and BOS lightweight spring on the way to Wgtn for a mulleted Commencal Meta TR.
Got a feeling this shock will be right at home on Wgtn tech on that bike.

39SC is good. It might seem overkill to be running such large stanchion dia forks on a trail bike, but....
When you're trying to hold a line in rough and technical terrain (esp cornering) and with plenty of weight on the front, the increased chassis strength of these forks makes a massive difference. They are rigid and strong, but not at the expense of feel and comfort through the hands.
The front wheel will go and stay where you point it, leaving the damper and airspring to just get on with their quality work.
Another well built and performing fork from BOS. Plenty of options with this one (170, 180 or 190mm travel; 52 or 44mm offset; 15 or 20mm axle; grey or black lowers) and the direct mount 200mm rotor setup is how things should be done for a fork like this.
Available to order now.

Bigger Better?
Idylle 39 single crown. Beefy, light, the usual high quality from BOS. We'll bang it on the Bronson MX and see if it performs as good as it looks.
