β›³ Sloan Cup – Round 4 | Nelson Update

Round 4 saw all teams head over to Takaka, with the weather threatening early before clearing just in time to get play underway. Conditions improved quickly and allowed for a full day of competitive golf.

Nelson Mixed Vets - Peter Gentry Trophy

A great day was had by 24 Nelson Mixed Vets members competing for the Peter Gentry Trophy.

This event is special as it is only open to Nelson members, is played as a team format, and is one of the few occasions where 9 hole members can play 18 holes alongside 18 hole members.

There was a slight delay getting to starting holes with the Masters still being played, but all groups got underway on time.

The format was teams of four, with the best three Stableford scores on each hole counting towards the team total.

2nd - 114 points
Bruce Hunter, Jun Libuchi, Robyn Knight, Bryan Thompson

3rd - 112 points

The winning team was made up entirely of 9 hole members, which was a great achievement.
