Congratulations to everyone who competed in today’s Under 20 Mixed Foil & Epee competition! 🤺

It was a day filled with excitement, challenges, a few surprises, and the occasional dose of competition chaos. That’s the beauty of fencing — competition gives us the opportunity to test our abilities against others. Until we step onto the piste and put ourselves under pressure, we never truly know what we’re capable of.

Club competitions are about much more than results. They are a chance to learn, grow, try new things, and build confidence as fencers. Every bout is an opportunity to improve, whether you finish on the podium or not.

It was fantastic to see so many of our fencers competing today, supporting one another, and embracing the challenge. To those who weren't competing, thank you for helping make the event run smoothly.

Competition Results:

Under 20 Mixed Foil
🥇- Aldo
🥈- Pia
🥉= Dougal + Fraser

Under 20 Mixed Epee
🥇- Aldo
🥈- Willow
🥉= Pia + Zavier

Well done everyone. Keep training, keep learning, and most importantly, keep enjoying the journey.

Wrap up from the Australian National Championships in Brisbane. Representing Fencing in Nelson/ Tasman - FEINT and Fencing New Zealand- Tracey came 2nd in the Veterans women’s Foil individual, 1st in her age category and third in the Women’s Veteran Foil Teams with Team mates Mary Black and Sarah Currie.

Unfortunately due to timing of events she wasn’t able to compete in the Veterans Epee teams….. so she didn’t get to compete in the so called superior weapon as some may suggest!! 🤣🤺
