Hey friends! In honor of pride week, NBRD is hosting a FREE Roller Derby taster event!

Head on down to Skate Nelson this Monday the 20th of April at 6.30pm and learn some fun skating skills and derby tricks, ending in a friendly game of sock derby!

A phenomenal experience skating the runway at annual fundraiser 'Walk (or Skate!) The Runway 2026'!

How lucky we were to have a break in the weather, a wonderful sunset and a absolutely blast skating the beautiful smooth runway!

The event returns as a fundraiser supporting the entry of Nelson Airport Emergency Service team members in the 2026 Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge, with all proceeds going to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ.

What an afternoon, full of fun, big hits and all of the derby love! Both and put on their absolute A game and took out the wins against us but we are so proud of every ounce of effort our Nelson skaters put into those hard earned points! Congratulations to DED for being the best bogans overall!
