Join us at Gearshop Richmond on Thursday 17 September for three practical, small-group sessions designed to help you get more from your outdoor gear.

🏔️ 5.15pm–5.45pm | Rab: Understanding Insulation
Learn the difference between down and synthetic insulation, and get an introduction to the Rab Microlight range.

💧 6.00pm–6.20pm | Nikwax & Ledlenser: Look After Your Gear
Get practical gear-care tips with Nikwax, plus advice on what to consider when choosing a Ledlenser light.

🎒 6.45pm–7.15pm | Osprey: Finding and Fitting the Right Pack
Learn how to choose the right pack, get the fit right, and understand which features really matter.

Plus, Nathan Fa'avae will be with us throughout the evening making Real Meals on MSR cookers and chatting about his adventures and the gear he uses.

It may be winter however the team couldn’t resist a hit out at the at the Heights of Winter 12hr rogaine.

Sakkie and Brendan had a great day out, taking out 3rd place in the the Vet men category.

Rachel and Nicole teamed up for a successful 12hr gossip session with some good navigation between the chit chat. They took the win in the open women category getting the new women’s trophy.

Dave joined team K2D2 for the event taking out 3rd placed mix team.

Wet weekend in Nelson, no worries! It was perfect weather to tackle to the first Cyclocross race thanks to the Nelson Mountain Bike Club. Great hit out! Come give it a go for the next round. 😁

Big weekend of racing at the for the Gearshop crew a few weeks ago!

The 24hr race kicked off in Kaikōura with a fast paced bike ride before heading into the mountains for a trekking/packrafting stage. This involved lots of river bed walking followed by a long Clarence River packraft. The course finished up with a rogaine and short bike leg to the finish.

Team Gearshop took out 1st place in the premier mixed category after a strong all-round performance across the course.

Gearshop Bomb Squad finished strong taking out 4th place in the premier mixed category. The teams crossed paths out on the course.

It was also awesome to see all generations getting involved. Sakkie's team 3 Generations raced the 3hr event. He raced it along with his son Mahi (age 9) & Colin (age 72, grandad). Sakkie's daughter also raced. Mason, Dean’s son stepped up to race in the 12hr school teams event.

Thanks to the Kaikoura Adventure Race for putting on another great event for all ages and abilities.

Over the weekend Dean jumped across the ditch and joined our Aussie friends in Wildflow tiger to race the Rogue Raid 24 hour adventure race!

Congratulations team on taking out the win! Looks like it was a cool adventure with plenty of strategy involved.
