We’re wrapping up the season with a full day of squash followed by the Squash Eastern Awards Evening!

Over the past few weeks, over 320 students from Porritt Primary School in Napier were introduced to squash through the Squash Stars program.

Each class had two sessions each where they learnt the basics of squash through games, skill-based activities, and a whole lot of trial, error, and fun!

A big thank you to all of the students and teachers that turned up and gave squash a go 🌟👏🏽

Another great 625 Junior event at Surf City Squash Courts, with plenty of competitive matches and some fantastic results from our juniors! We had 43 Juniors compete making it our second largest Eastern Junior Series event!

2026 EASTERN JUNIOR NATIONALS TEAMS ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re excited to announce the Eastern Boys and Girls teams who will represent our district at the NZ Junior Age Group Championships and Junior District Teams Championships at Henderson Squash Club this October! ❤️🖤

A huge congratulations to all of our players selected! 👏

It’s fantastic to see juniors from across our Eastern clubs earning the opportunity to represent the district on the national stage. We know you’ll represent Eastern with pride!

The team will be supported by coaches Dino Michalakis and Phillip Drummond as they head to Auckland for Nationals.

We were privileged to host Disability Sport and Recreation Hawkes Bay today at Hawke's Bay Squash Rackets Club. Everyone learnt how to balance and bounce the ball on their racquet, hit straight down the wall on their forehand and backhand, volleying, and how to serve.

There was a lot of fun and laughter, and we ended with a squash game.

Squash is an inclusive sport that welcomes people of all ages, genders, and abilities.

We know everyone had a blast today so we hope to see you back soon 😊👍🏼
