Pania Surfcasting Club HB (Inc)

Pania Surfcasting Club HB (Inc) www.paniasurfcasting.org The Pania Surfcasting Club originated in 1955. Guests or members may be invited to speak on fishing topics.

The objectives of the Club are:

* To engage in and encourage salt water angling and competitive casting in New Zealand
* To affiliate to and support the New Zealand Angling and Casting Association.
* To co-operate with any government department concerned with the management of recreational fishing in New Zealand.
* To promote social activities for club members. Club nights are held on the first T

uesday of the month, commencing at 7.30pm at the Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club, Nelson Quay, Napier. There are 12 set field weekends during the season September - May. There are also additional events such as our Twilight Competition and Take a Mate Fishing weekend that run throughout the season. The club also holds an annual Kahawai Fishing Competition

Please be aware there has been a swimmer pass away at Marine Parade (by aquarium) this afternoon. If you are wanting to fish Awatoto this weekend, please check to see if a Rahui has been placed or not.

Xmas BBQ Postponed
Due to weather conditions for Sunday it was decided at last night's meeting to postpone the xmas BBQ on Sunday.
PLEASE NOTE - Weigh in will be 12pm at our normal spot (grass area beside the fire station)

IMPORTANT CLUB NOTICE:

Due to the introduction of the new traffic light system, the HB Sports Fishing Club will require us to show/scan vaccine passports or exemptions for our meetings moving forward.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday 7 December so please have these ready if you are wanting to attend.

If you have any concerns, please come to one of the Exec team in the first instance.

Postal Casting this Sunday 31 October 2021 at the Hastings Polo grounds. 9am start.

Next club meeting is Tuesday 2 November 2021 at HB Sports Fishing Club. 7.30pm start.
Once we get through all our official stuff we have two members giving demos;
