Every pregnancy is different, and women can develop pregnancy-related issues that have exercise implications at various times throughout their pregnancy, so it is vital that exercise professionals begin by considering the general guidelines, but then continue to monitor their clients every single session for any new changes or adaptions that may need to be made.

Make sure you get yourself a qualified and experienced trainer who checks in every exercise session with the following:

- How much water have you had today?
- Have you suffered from any morning sickness today/last night?
- How much sleep did you get last night and what quality was it?
- When did you last eat and what was it?
- Has your doctor/midwife said anything different
about you exercising or given you any different advice?
- Have you been experiencing anything different?
- How did you feel after our last work-out, and what have you done since then?

MEET MELISSA 🔥⁣

Lissy has been training with me for over 4 years now, since May 2020 and I’m so incredibly proud of her progress. ⁣
Her training over the years has been a mix of both B***y Camps (group training sessions) and one-to-one Personal Training sessions, focusing on glute + upper back strength and overall fitness.⁣
From hitting PBs with her strength training to smashing her fastest 1km run by over 2 minutes - she is an example of what dedication and hard work every session can achieve!⁣

DID YOU KNOW? ⁣

Pregnancy Training general guidelines recommend that from 16 weeks onwards, any exercises lying supine (flat on the back) should be avoided.⁣
This is because there is the potential to reduce oxygen supply to the baby while lying flat on the back by putting too much stress and pressure on the major vein called Vena Cava.⁣
Strength training guidelines for pregnant women recommend changing to an incline lying position instead to reduce this risk.⁣


* Pregnancy training general guidelines are developed for a healthy pregnant women, who has trained prior to pregnancy and has no contraindications. ⁣

** There can be considerable variation between individual circumstances and pregnancies which is why being cared for individually is advised due to exercise implications that can arise at any time.

Hi I’m Megan, Personal Trainer for over 10 years and creator of the B***Y CAMP 8-week challenge. The B***Y CAMP workouts are designed to make you feel and become strong, fit and confident women. I am committed to helping you unlock your full potential and become the best version of yourself that you can be, in a structured and fun way!

I understand that life is busy and it’s becoming harder and harder to find the time to exercise and prioritize your own health and fitness, which is why I want to help you create a healthy lifestyle that is not only sustainable long term, but can be done at home, in a gym or even outdoors. I encourage you all to try my workouts, subscribe to my B***Y CAMP 8-week challenge, and commit to making a change.
