BCR’s 🩷🖤💀 training tonight was so fun we forgot to take a photo until we’d all taken our gear off!!
Angel 😇 coached us through a variety of skills including some new jammer drills with some twirly whirly footwork 🩰🌪️💃
This pile of helmets ⛑️ 🪖 tells a story about each of the owners… some of us are sticker collectors 🧳, one of us has broken their nose before 🫣, some have designed some personalised artwork 🖼️, while some just keep ‘em clean and shiny? ✨ What about you? 🫵

BCR 🩷🖤💀 Sunday funday 🥳 - Slayer took us through a line dancing shuffle to practise our laterals ↔️🤠, a variety of blocking drills 🍑🍑🌪️, and some fun obstacle courses ⤴️🔺⤵️🔺🔄😁

BCR’s 🩷🖤💀 Wednesday night training led by Angel 😇 - the crew worked on a good hitting stance and we “hit the $*%*! out of the wall” 💥🍑🙌 and then practiced hit outs. We also worked catching the jammer ⭐️ at the apex and quick reforming in a 2-wall 🍑🍑. Good fun, lots of laughs and a few well-earned bruises (aka. Derby kisses 😘🖤💜💙).

BCR 🩷🖤💀 crew at the HRG 8s 🙌: Phearless, Slayer, KayOs 🛼🛼🛼, and Morpheus 🦓

As part of team Pink ChamPAIN 💖🍾🥂💪, Phearless 09, Freya the Slayer (aka. Pinky and the Slain) 155, and KayOs 77 skated in 4 games against some tough competition 💥. After some fancy footwork 🩰, some fast laps 🏎️ , some hard hits 🍑💥, and just all round good derby 🛼🛼🤩, their team won the tournament!!! 🏆💪🥳
Morpheus 311 🦓 was 1 of just 5 referees for the day and had a busy day rotating positions each game, concentrating mostly on IPR 👐 and front OPR 🙅 plus some jam reffing 👉.

Congratulations to the award winners from Saturday’s StarWars derby game!!! We held our after party and prize giving at our favourite wee food spot in town .nz 🍔🍹😋 - Thanks CB for hosting us again!! 💖🫶 It’s always a good time when we come hang with you 🙌🍻

Winners of the game, and the epic LEGO skater Darth trophy: The LightSide 🤍 (Remutaka and friends)🏆

BCR (The DarkSide 🖤) awarded prizes for MVB 🍑 to R2Die2, and MVJ ⭐️ to Jammer the Tart.
BCR’s captains prize went to Baddy 2 Sabers 🙌🥳
and friends (The LightSide 🤍) awarded prizes to:
- Prince Slayer: For bringing the vibes 💖
- The Dark Angel: For great offence against the rebels 💥
- Baddy 2 Sabers: For resilience on the track 💪

BCR 🖤🩷💀 also have a tradition of welcoming and celebrating skaters to the BCR adult crew after their first full game by gifting a pink and black tartan bandana. We had ✨5️⃣✨ skaters who earned their bandanas on Saturday 🥳 (but only 2 could be there for the presentation - the others will be presented at training!):
