Saturday 8 June Game Debrief

Emeralds v Bridge Pa loss 19/25

Tough game for Emeralds today as we played top of the table, Bridge Pa.
The game was even at half time but they pulled away from us in the second half. Our players really had to stand up in this physical game and I am very proud of their effort to play a clean hard out game.

Green v Celtic WIN 26/24

It was definitely a game of two halves this week. Celtic put up a solid fight with some phenomenal shooting and intercepts making each quarter evenly matched, however our team wanted it more and it showed in the second half.

Incredibly proud of this team, all season they have come within 1-4 goals of winning and throughly deserved/earned this win. 🙌

Super 40s debrief from last Tuesday’s grading games:

Evergreens

Great to see so many fit, able, competitive over 40s women enjoying the game. Fills me with pride Wahine Toa.
Netball is such a great community.
Big shout out to Donna our most super umpire. Great to have her back again this year. Thanks to Amanda for scoring. This is what it’s all about.
Supporting each other. Having fun.

Oh and results…Two short grading games. We won the first game. Unfortunately lost the second game by a small margin. But back in Division one. 🙌🙌.
Couldn’t be prouder. Bring on another awesome season.

Shamrocks

It was Shamrocks 2nd round of grading games. We had some good play in our mid court, and solid defence. We were unlucky in the first game against the Auntys, and came close to a win against Pāharakeke. POD Kelly OConnell

Saturday 18th May weekly debrief

Emeralds

Emeralds played a hard game against a physical team. It was great to see them all play their own style, never giving up and making Tamatea work for their win ... next time we will beat them!
You are all fantastic to watch.
Player of the day topped off with her graceful and effective ‘ballet-type’ leaps, Cailin Marlow.

Green

This team is improving week to week! We had a very tight game again going down to Clive by two goals.
It was definitely anyone’s game. The girls definitely didn’t give up! Super proud of them all.
With sickness doing the rounds we needed to pull in a couple of subs! Huge shout out to Sarah McCalmont and Kate Harvey for helping us out!
Thanks also to Katrina Kennedy for umpiring, Victoria Walling for keeping score and our many sideline supporters!
POD this week was Maddie Kerrins who had a standout game in GA.

Great game yesterday!
Same score as last weekend but so many laughs on and off Court.
We welcomed a new player Mishayla yesterday and she was amazing and left with POD 😁.

Beautiful calm blue skies made for another cracking day of club netball!

Green started the day against a slick Outkast team in Div 7 and had a hard fought game with a close loss.

Gold went next against Paharakeke in Div 8 with lots of laughter and great spirit with another close loss.

Emeralds ended in the last round in style and pizazz in Div 5 against Pirates with a convincing win.

I don’t have the report form the S40 ‘run around’ but I’m looking forward to seeing them on Tuesday for their grading matches.

Lovely to see Jill Verschaffelt, our club patron, at the courts.

Thank you to all of our umpires for supporting the teams to play. It is appreciated.
