Big few days away with the .wanderers girls at the U17 national club tournament over the weekend. The girls came away with a well deserved 3rd place🥉

As a trainer all you can ask for is 100% commitment and effort towards the job at hand. Not one of these girls dropped their standard and attitudes over what was a very tough weekend with a very high standard of football being played and some extremely average weather. Congratulations team 🙌🏼

Awesome long weekend down in Napier working with the Hamilton Wanderers u19 womans team. The girls went unbeaten in pool play scoring 15 goals in 5 games and conceding none. The quarter final against the Wellington Phoenix was a hell of a game and the girls left everything on the field. 1-1 at full time the game went straight to penalties and unfortunately our run came to an end. I cannot fault the commitment and competitive attitude these girls have and as a trainer or coach that is all you can ask for. I look forward to continuing to work with them and seeing what they can achieve.

Dyls has improved his overall strength significantly over the last few months. We are still working to eliminate a slight imbalance and begin some light multi lateral movements along with some longer distance running. The improvement has been awesome to see and Dyls is stoked to be back moving freely and getting under the bar.

Working on my craft today ⚽️

I know this may look like a simple shooting exercise but my goal for this part of the session was being clinical and hitting only corners.

If you are someone who wants to improve as an athlete it’s important you set yourself session targets, put some pressure on yourself and learn to deal with it and improve .

Whether it’s something like my one above or a strength and fitness related target find something in your session that you want to achieve and give it your best to achieve it.

Hope everyone is doing well during this lockdown and keep on pushing through 💪🏼

If anyone wants some help with training over the lockdown or some advice or tips whether it’s fitness, injury rehab or something else I’d be more than happy to help, so just reach out🙌🏼

Keeping sharp with the beast Tommy Semmy
First clip, working on getting to top speed as quick as possible and decelerating as quick as possible after the last mark.
Second and third clip is a great exercise with lots of acceleration and deceleration which is so important in many sports, also adds a bit of competition to push each other. Safe to say I’m not too far off Tommy …….
