Sacred Heart College Canoe Polo Club Incorporated (SHCCPC) - Notice of a Special General Meeting.

The officers of the SHCCPC committee give notice that a Special General Meeting of the Association will occur at 5.30pm on the 19/3/2026 at the Sacred Heart College Staffroom, Convent Road, Napier.

The purpose of the meeting is to:
- Adopt a revised constitution that meets the requirements of the new Incorporated Societies Act 2022
- Affirm members desire to reregister and continue to operate as an Incorporated Society under the new act.
- Adopt a Memorandum of Understanding between the School and SHCCPC.

Please spread the word. For this meeting to go ahead we need to have a quorum of at least 50% of our members attend. A parent of a playing member is also considered a member and therefore it is beneficial for both to attend, or even just the parent if your daughter can't make it.

Our junior girls had a big weekend at the NZSS Junior Nationals Cup. They showed so much tenacity and played their hearts out in every game. Great work from:

#7 Nieve Juno

It was awesome to see so many girls out there playing on the weekend, it was a tough competition. We came away with 6th place after an extremly close last game against Havelock North Junior Girls – almost drawing even in the last minute of the game.

It is amazing how well such a young team (5 Year 9’s & 1 Year 10) went against teams with older and more experienced players. The hustle they displayed in the later games of the tournament really showed how far they have come this season. Watch this space as they build and grow together.

Thank you to everyone that bought a ticket for our Sacred Heart Canoe Polo Club raffle. We were overwhelmed with the support! We drew the raffle today and the winner was Emma Bates! We hope you enjoy the hamper Emma!

Come and support our junior girls Canoe Polo team this weekend (15/16th October) at the Mitre 10 Park Hawke's Bay. They are playing in the NZSS Junior Nationals Cup. Look forward to seeing you there!

CPHB is calling for all players interested in trialing for the 2026 Hawkes Bay National League Teams.

📌 Commitment Deadlines
* A Grade Women’s and Open – Sunday 2 November 2025
* B Grade Women’s and Open, C & D Grade – Friday 21 November 2025

📌 Selection Events
* A Grade – Mon 3 & 10 Nov | 6:30–8:00pm
* B Grade – Sat 22 & 29 Nov | 10:00am–12:00pm
* C Grade – Tue 9 & Thu 11 Dec | 5:30pm
* D Grade – Sun 14 Dec | 1:00pm & Tue 16 Dec | 5:30pm

📌 Key Information
* Membership & training fees must be paid on selection (if not already a member).
* A & B Grade players: you will be responsible for booking your own Christchurch flights. The club recommends booking flexi/refundable flights due to possible challenge matches.
* Challenge Matches (if not held earlier) will take place at the Atahua Tournament, Palmerston North – Saturday 31 January 2026. This will be your priority event, and schools will be notified.
* 2026 National League tournament dates are TBC – we’ll update this link as soon as dates are confirmed.
* Uniform info & costs will be provided at the time of selection.

Big shout out to Annabel Koko-Price, Amy Parsons and Lexus Hawkes Bay for donating to our club raffle this year.

It’s truly amazing to have continued support from ex students and their families.
This year we have also received a limited edition gin from Lexus.

Come and support our junior girls Canoe Polo team this weekend (18/19th October) at the Mitre 10 Park Hawke's Bay. They are playing in the Central East Junior Regional Qualifiers. Teams that qualify will play in the NZSS Junior Champs in November. Look forward to seeing you there!
