A four Competition series hosted by the Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club that will win great cash prizes across all sections.

Our 1st competition is only weeks away.

The Hodson Crane Hire Opening Day competition is on 3rd October with all the usual species with automatic registration into the Coldrite Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Top Boat Series.

This is the 1st of 4 competitions in the series.

Danny Mills came out on top winning the Coldrite Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Top Boat Series with 19 points, ahead of Shellee Bickers on 17 and Liz Krawczyk on 16 points.

William Wilson receives his 1st place award in the 2025/26 Coldrite Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Top Boat Series on Saturday from Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club President, Dan Pollett. William had 34 points.

2nd Equal were Jake Dickey(not there) and Jett Cushing on 8 points each.

The next Top Boat Series starts on October 3rd 2026.

The winners of the 2025/2026 Coldrite Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Top Boat Series will be presented with their prizes at the Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club’s Annual Prizegiving on Saturday 5th September 2026.

Junior Prize Giving will be at 4pm
Senior Prize Giving will be at 7pm followed by a light supper and live music from Ella Pollett Music

Another naming sponsor was found during the Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club’s sponsors night.

The final leg of the Coldrite Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Top Boat Series is the Meeanee Firewood Closing Day competition. The date is to be confirmed by the HBSFC fishing committee.

Two trophies were awarded on the Hawkes Bay Sports Fishing Club Closing Day competition.

The Heaviest Fish on Closing Day went to Danny Mills on Rampant and The Boat that landed the Heaviest Gurnard on Closing Day went to Reelaxin skippered by Brett Rigby
