Reflecting on the last week, I think we can say we've had one of our best years of flying ever in Murchison. For 7 days straight we had superb flying weather, big flights and great tasks. No one is going home without a story.

There is one important story for us to tell though, since not everything always goes right when flying. However when things don't go right you need to know someone's got your back in those circumstances. are a very important part of our competition and proved as much when we had a pilot, Derek McKee have an accident landing on our second practice day. The fact that that Derek had a satellite tracker and was able to activate the SOS button likely saved his life. He had a compound fracture in his femur, which for those who know represents a significant risk of bleeding to death. After Derek hit the SOS button, helicopter assistance was there within 10 mins, an unprecedented response and a welcome relief for Derek in his situation.

So a heartfelt thankyou from us all to for being there for our buddy when he needed it most!
