🐴 LEST WE FORGET 🐴

Bombay Pony Club had the privilege of attending the Bombay ANZAC Service this morning. It was a beautiful and meaningful occasion, taking time to remember the brave men, horses, and animals who served and sacrificed for our freedom.

Yesterday our riders competed at Ballyndene 2026 at Springbush Equestrian Centre.
It was again a huge success not only for our riders but also our wonderful head coach Louise Luostari (& family) who took on the mammoth task on behalf of Franklin District to organise the event, dress the stunning course and run the day! I want to say a huge thank you to Lousie and her family, and every volunteer on the day! From jump judges, scoresheet runners, gear checkers, time keepers and the officials in the office adding up all the scores to produce timely results! And every single other person who helped and pitched in on the day!
It was a huge feat and without everyone pulling together, the day wouldn’t have run as smoothly and efficiently as it did!

Our Club results are as follows (composite team with the lovely Zoe Irwin Parsons from Waiuku rounding out our team of 6)

Team results: “The Mumbai Mares of Bombay” 🥉

Our Values – Our Behaviour at Pony Club

At Pony Club, we believe in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone can learn, grow, and enjoy equestrian sport.

Our values guide how we ride, learn, and support one another:

Togetherness – Working together to build friendships, fun, and adventure.

Empathy – Supporting each individual to develop and reach their goals.

Self Management – Seeking opportunities in learning and education.

Participating & Contributing – Taking part and giving back wherever possible.

These values shape our expected behaviours:

✔️ Respect Others – Treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and fairness.
✔️ Care for Horses – Put the welfare of ponies and horses first, always.
✔️ Participate Positively – Encourage others, celebrate good sportsmanship, and avoid harmful behaviour.
✔️ Act with Integrity – Be honest, play fair, and support others to speak up when something isn’t right.
✔️ Be Inclusive – Welcome and support all riders and whānau, regardless of age, ability, or background.

Together we create a Pony Club where tamariki, rangatahi, riders, coaches, volunteers, and whānau can feel safe, supported, and proud.

Play hard – Play fair – Enjoy the ride.
