In summer 2026/27, the Bay is turning up the volume.

We’re bringing a brand new festival to the iconic Bay Oval- Rhythm & Salt- a two-day music experience celebrating world-class artists, coastal vibes, and a backdrop like no other.

Set alongside the Mount’s famous salt works, expect:

Massive congratulations to the Bay of Plenty Men’s team on claiming the Hawke Cup yesterday 👏🏆

A dominant performance and a result that reflects the hard work, depth and pride in Bay cricket. To lift the Hawke Cup is no small feat- and to do it in style makes it even sweeter.

We’re proud to share that Bay Oval will proudly host the team’s first Hawke Cup defence next weekend. Make sure you get down and support the boys as they put the Cup on the line for the first time on home turf since 2017/18 💛💙

This Saturday, 17 January, is going to be a massive day of sport in Tauranga, with two events drawing thousands to the city.

By day, Mount Maunganui hosts the Loan Market Oceanside Tauranga Half & Fulton Hogan Mount Festival, and by night, T20 cricket will light up Bay Oval with the return of Hot Spring Spas T20 Black Clash.
