Mount Maunganui Tennis Club is situated in Blake Park, Mount Maunganui. We have 5 Astro Turf and 4 Rebound Ace (hard) surface tennis courts. Our club professional coach is available for club and private coaching of junior members and group or individual lessons for senior members. All levels are catered for from beginner to advanced with organised social and competitive tennis

🎾 Coaching & Club Update

We're pleased to announce that Luke Hamilton has been appointed Interim Head Coach at Mount Maunganui Tennis Club.

Luke will lead our coaching programme while the Club undertakes a considered review of its long-term coaching strategy. We expect this interim appointment to be in place for approximately 12 months, providing stability while we plan the next phase of our coaching programme.

Many of our members already know Luke through his work at the Club. He has built an excellent rapport with players and families, is an outstanding and actively competing player, and is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities enjoy tennis.

We're also pleased that Petra-Lee Anderson will remain in her Assistant Coach role, supporting Luke and the Club as we work towards our coaching objectives.

❄️🎾 What a fantastic day for our Midweek Ladies Winter Tournament!

With a full draw of players from Mount Maunganui Tennis Club and clubs across the Bay, the day was packed with great tennis and some closely fought matches.

Congratulations to our winners and runners-up, and a huge thank you to everyone who helped organise and support the event.

It's great to see such strong support for our Midweek Ladies tournaments. Our next tournament on 20 July is already fully booked, we can't wait to do it all again soon. 🎾👏

A great day out for our juniors at the Otumoetai Ruegg Sunday Series Tournament 🎾

Check out this lovely write-up about Derrick Williams, a long-standing member of our club.

At 88, he has over 40 years flying the Mount ANZAC dawn service, and he’s still getting amongst it. Not just in the air, to this day he still plays tennis every week.

He’s a quiet community legend. Pretty special 👏

Huge moment for the club 👏

Luke Hamilton 🥇 and Petra-Lee Osbourne (aka 🍑)🥈 bringing home medals from the Masters National Teams Event - competing against the best players from across New Zealand in regional teams of four.

This is top-level, pressure tennis.

We’re incredibly lucky to have two coaches of this calibre at the Mount. Not just teaching the game, but actively competing - and winning - on the national stage.

They’re a massive asset to our club, and incredible people to learn from.
