What a day battling the nor'easterly at Waihora, I'm pretty sure the wind thought it was the real boss today. Waihora managed to pull off a solid defence of the S***t Shield. 5 teams in the comp strong this year, so good to have North Canterbury Clay Target Association and Ellesmere Clay Target Club join the fray, shaking things up. The Ellesmere Team blasted off to a rip-roaring start, had us on the edge of our seats for round 2, but luckily the wind decided to show off its full repertoire. Big thanks to Jacko for the awesome cake and Happy Birthday to Peter Lassen, here's to another year of breaking clays.
We've got a night shoot coming up this Friday, don't miss out on the evening excitement, see you there.

Winners are grinners! It’s that time of the year again when the hotly contested Canterbury S***t Shield is up for grabs and bragging rights. Some say it’s the premier inter-club match of the year but if you’re not there you won’t know. Come out to Waihora Saturday for a 9ish start. It’s also a 100 north south so plenty of targets on offer. Would be great to see North Canterbury Clay Target Association, Canterbury Clay Target Club, Methven Clay Target Club, Amberley Gun Club, Mead Te-Pirita Gun Club, Timaru and Ashburton come and have a go. We know our friends from over the river Ellesmere Clay Target Club will be there pushing us hard like last year. Even heard Aussie S***t HOA Alex Smith is coming out to show us how it’s done. See ya Saturday.

Don’t panic there is still time to make plans for club day tomorrow. S***t from 9ish including side by side champs or a 2nd 25 if you’d rather not partake in the bygone era. DTL from 1ish 50tgts and side by side champs if you dare. Tonnes of prizes and plenty of smoko. See you there!

Team, let's get ready for a fantastic weekend! We've got Club Day on Saturday, featuring the Side by Side Championship. We'll kick off with s***t shooting around 9-9:30 am, so make sure to bring plenty of shells for the 50 targets. For the second round, you can opt for the Side by Side Championship if you have access to one or borrow one, otherwise, we'll stick to the same format as the first round. Later, at 1 pm, the DTL competition begins with 50 targets, followed by 20 targets for the Side by Side Championship - feel free to borrow a Side by Side if you want to give it a try. A huge thank you to the Wilson Family for sponsoring this event, with great meat prizes up for grabs in s***t and the top 3 places in each grade for DTL, excluding Side by Side Champions.
