We’ve had a busy and exciting start to the summer with all of our Kaimanawas making wonderful progress!
Ambrosio, 7 year old, 13.3hh mare from the April muster, has just begun her backing process. She’s been out walking around the farm following a friend and is proving to be such a willing, kind, and sensitive partner. A pleasure to work with every day.
Apache, 4 year old, 14.2hh gelding from the July muster, has been under saddle for 12 or so inconsistent weeks and is easily our most advanced horse at the moment. He’s already jumping, confidently working through all three paces, and absolutely loves attention. Whether trekking out solo or with company, he’s always ready for an adventure! Apache will be coming up for sale over the next month, so keep an eye out for this sweet and talented boy.
Locky. 7 year old, 14.2hh mare from the April muster, is currently busy being the best mum to her beautiful 3 month old filly, Rumi. The pair adore their scratches and are happily enjoying the summer grass together.
Espionage, 3 year old, 14.1hh mare from the July muster, is spending her days raising her cheeky 2 month old c**t, Rebel. A sweet and sensitive pair, Rebel’s still a little unsure about people but growing braver and bolder every day.
Kaiti, Our newest addition! A lovely 10 year old mare from the 2018 muster who’s come to me for some work. Today she had her first sit, which went beautifully! I’m really looking forward to getting to know her and working with her further.
