🔥 9-Step Bodybuilder’s Nutrition Checklist (For Executives Who Want Elite Performance)

Most executives think they’re eating “pretty healthy”… but pretty healthy doesn’t cut it if you want boardroom energy and a world-class physique.

Here’s a 9-step checklist to see if your nutrition is actually set up like a pro:

1️⃣ Calories – Do you know exactly how many calories you need daily to hit your goal (muscle gain, fat loss, or maintenance)?

2️⃣ Protein Intake – Are you consistently hitting at least 1.6–2.2g protein per kg of bodyweight?

3️⃣ Meal Timing – Do you have set meal times to keep blood sugar and energy stable (not skipping until 3pm then overeating at night)?

4️⃣ Carbohydrate Quality – Are most of your carbs coming from whole food sources (oats, rice, potatoes, fruit, veg) instead of constant refined snacks?

5️⃣ Healthy Fats – Are omega-3s and monounsaturated fats part of your plan for hormones and brain function?

6️⃣ Hydration – Do you drink at least 35–40ml of water per kg bodyweight daily (not just coffee)?

7️⃣ Micronutrients – Are you covering the basics with fruit, vegetables, and possibly a multivitamin to prevent deficiencies?

8️⃣ Supplements – Do you only use proven basics (whey, creatine, electrolytes, maybe caffeine) — or are you still guessing with a cabinet full of hype?

9️⃣ Consistency – Do you hit your targets 90%+ of the time, even on travel, dinners, or busy weeks?

If you get the right amount of protein, you don't need BCAAs. The right amount of protein for athletes is at least 1 gram per pound of lean body weight. If you want to build muscle, keep a surplus in your calories in your diet and train hard.
