Bike Methven Bike Methven is a biking enthusiasts club based in Methven, NZ. Mt Hutt is our home ride base which has approx 25km of cross-country and downhill trails.

Our club has a mixture of cross-country, Road cycling and downhill mountain bikers who are passionate about their riding. Our latest projects are extending the intermediate level tracks around the lower part of the Bike Park and a UCI spec BMX track in Central Methven. We have a strong background within the community. THIS is our club, our Mountain, our Town SO come and ride with us!

IT'S AORAKIS TIME AGAIN!

The Aoraki Schools MTB Series is back at Mt Hutt Bike Park, kicking off Sunday 1 November!

Calling all young riders! Whether you've raced before or are keen to give it a go for the first time, this is your chance to get amongst it, build your confidence and have some fun on the trails with your mates.

Keen to get involved this year? Have a chat with your school's sports coordinator about entering and representing your school!

Shuttle day the day before too!! Get your tickets for some last minute practice! (Hurry as they can sell out)

LADIES, IT'S SHUTTLE TIME!

Our first Women's Shuttle Day of the season is happening Saturday 7 November at Mt Hutt Bike Park!

Whether you're new to mountain biking, keen to give shuttles a go for the first time, or just want to get out for some laps with a great crew of women — this one's for you!

No pressure, just good vibes, plenty of encouragement and a whole lot of fun on two wheels.

💛 All abilities welcome!

FIRST SHUTTLE DAY OF THE SEASON!

We're back! The first shuttle day of the 2026/27 season at Mt Hutt Bike Park is locked in for Saturday 31 October!

Time to dust off the bikes, rally your riding crew and get those downhill laps in!

We’re back on the bikes this week, and we’d love to see you there!

Haven’t ridden in years? Months? Ever? You’re welcome! Whether you’re finding your feet (or pedals!) again or you’re a regular on the trails, there’s something for everyone.

No pressure, no expectations — just a great bunch of women getting outdoors, having a laugh and enjoying some time on two wheels!

Spring is here, the evenings are getting longer, and Dirt Dolls Ladies Bike Nights are back for the 2026/27 season!

Join us every Wednesday evening for a social ride around the Mt Hutt Bike Park trails. Whether you’re keen to build confidence, meet other women who ride, explore some new trails, or simply get out for a mid-week pedal — come along!

Starting Wednesday 14 October
Every Wednesday from 6pm
📍 Meet in the main Bike Park carpark by the rainbow sign
