Bike Methven

Bike Methven Bike Methven is a biking enthusiasts club based in Methven, NZ. Mt Hutt is our home ride base which has approx 25km of cross-country and downhill trails.

Our club has a mixture of cross-country, Road cycling and downhill mountain bikers who are passionate about their riding. Our latest projects are extending the intermediate level tracks around the lower part of the Bike Park and a UCI spec BMX track in Central Methven. We have a strong background within the community. THIS is our club, our Mountain, our Town SO come and ride with us!

From racing and shuttle days to plenty of good times on the trails, we’ve got a stacked 2026/27 season ahead.

There's a couple of trail closures due to pre season maintenence at the moment being carried out by Cam Bisset- Dirt Trailbuilding . Izzys Cut is closed and so is Bob's bridge extension. Please don't ride around the cones as you will either find some really soft wet fresh trail, and/or a machine working. Thanks for your patience while these trails are tuned up

Bike Methven had its 2026 AGM last night, this year we brought something new to the club with naming our first ever Patron and Life Members.

We also had an Honourable mention of the late Chris Rundle spoken by Cam Bisset.

We need your help!!! There’s 200 natives that need w**d mats and plant guards installed, everything’s there for you to get stuck in.
Location is main carpark between wash down bay and pump track.
Feel free to get into it before or after a ride, last little push before winter hits us. Thanks in advance BM
