It is with very heavy hearts that we share the news of Ron Robinson’s passing.
Ronnie drove for KR Racing in the 1990s, peddling the VW Midget #22, and was team‑mate to Mark in the #19. Affectionately known as “Rocket Ron,” he was one of the most genuine people we ever had the pleasure of knowing — generous to a fault, humble, and always ready with a laugh.
His humour was second to none, and many a carpark feature was won thanks to this guy. There were countless great nights, plenty of stories, and even more laughter, lots of laughter!
Ron wasn’t just a racer — he was a great friend. The world will seem a little less bright without him in it.
Our deepest condolences to Alan and the Robinson family.
Ron will be greatly missed and quietly remembered every day.
