Southern Kaipara Disc Golf Club A new Disc Golf Club, based on rounds at Maungaturoto Country Club (9 permanent holes) and Kaiwaka (4 permanent holes)

Inclusive sport for everyone!

The inception of the club has been discussed by a few people for sometime now, spurred on my the Maungaturoto Country Club installing 10 permanent baskets in 2020/2021. Now with more keen individuals we are keen to extend the disc golf possibilities in the region. More baskets will come to the region and our aims are to grow the sport through events, fundraising and getting families and kids invol

ved. Members are very active in disc golf, whether playing or commercially so we plan to bring a vision into the club that worlks for the greater good of the club. One primary sponsor of the club is RPM Discs, whose Co-Founder and Director lives in Mangawhai

A FREE DISC for beginners whilst stock last. We have a stash of 26 to giveaway.

With this club newly formed, we can proudly offer all new players a disc to help them get into it. Every new player to have a round, join the club and give it a go will receive a Glow Piwakawaka, they are factory seconds but are near perfect.

The perfect beginner disc, although also an excellent thrower for more experienced players.

To qualify you need to not have a bag of discs already, and get into the action with an existing member on this group.

We are keen to get new or interested people into the sport.

We will come out soon with some initiatives to get folks together, early days and pre-christmas.

This club is not an incorporated club, and may not be either. Its just about building a new Disc Golf Community in our region.

As the author here being a Co-founder and Director of RPM Discs, and a Mangawhai local whom assisted in the development of the course. I will ensure massive support to the Club for building the support in the community at all levels.
