Burts Horse Trail Ride A guided horse trek over Farm and/or through Forest. 3+ hr ride incl. a lunch stop $50 Adult $25 Youth. NB : Horse not provided. BYO Horse 🐴.

BETWEEN THEIR EARS : Welcome to "Burts Horse Trail Ride" . We are situated in the sunny Bay of Plenty. We host a guided trek over our farm and through our forest. You will need your own horse, lunch and a drink. We expect the trail to be 3.5 hours long approximately ( including approx. 20 minutes lunch stop ) over easy undulating terrain travelling at trekking pace. Horses need to have a reasonabl

e level of fitness. This trek requires a medium level of ability/experience. Adult $50 and Youth $25 ( If under 16 years old you must be accompanied by an Adult ). First ride back in the forest for ages 🌳 Our trek at Burts Horse Trail Ride is this SUNDAY 14TH JUNE. It’s a lovely ride that heads off from our farm paddocks and through predominantly our forest. It’s a good workout but gentle and in saying that we only ride at trekking pace so wonderful for young horses; any horses for sure🐴 If you’re a first timer we are situated in the sunny BOP. You turn off SHW2 onto Mimiha Rd and follow the orange arrows to the end of our road where you will see the sign “Burt’s Trail Ride” . Drive up this road. You will then see the 2WD/4WD sign before the small hill. Please park to the right of this sign on the grass if you are a 2WD and worried about getting up the hill. Saddle up and ride over and meet us on the other side if you don’t drive over. We ride out at 10am (but please be ready at 9:45am for a debrief) and should be back 1:30ish pm. Hey Hi 👋 Happy Trekkers 🐴 Here are all our dates for the rest of the year. We always have one ride a month on the second Sunday. This Sunday we are doing the forest ride. We start on the farm and then follow our motorbike trail ride tracks into our forest. We haven’t done this ride for months so we’re really looking forward to the change. It’s that time again. We’ve missed March and April’s ride due to 🤬🤬🤬 weather and the weather is not looking too shabby for this Sunday 10th May Mothers Day ride. You may even win something 😉😉 Here are the easy directions to our trek in the sunny Bay of Plenty. Turn off SHW2 and turn up MIMIHA RD. Drive a little way up the road until you see the sign post for MIMIHA RIDGE ROAD. Opposite this road is a deer gate going into a paddock. You will park in here. See photos 1 & 2. Easy as. See you all then for a 10am ride out. Please check our page for all other details This trek will spoil you with magnificent views of the Pacific 🌊❤️🐴See you all here 👌 Sunday 10th May MUMS DAY ❤️

Howdy happy trekkers. Finally it looks like we have a Fine-ish Sunday. We missed the last two months ride due to rain , rain, cyclones and more rain so we aren’t going to miss Mothers Day Sunday Ride. Let’s celebrate being a Mum together. By riding you’re in the draw for winning a lovely room diffuser. We will be doing the farm ride so you will park in the paddock off Mimiha Road opposite Mimiha Ridge Road. Hello 👋 to all you trekkers 🐴 Fingers and toes were all crossed here for our ride tomorrow to go ahead but it’s happening again. The weather is bearing down on the Bay of Plenty and we are in for more rain. In light of how much it now costs to get anywhere we want your ride with us to be one to remember in a good way so we will have to CANCEL tomorrows ride 19th April. Our next ride here will now be Sunday the 10th May so let’s hope we get an awesome sunny ☀️ ☀️ winters day 🤞🤞🤞

The bad news is we can’t have our scheduled ride this Sunday 12th April due to the cyclone coming and horrible weather but we can take a rain ☔️ check and postpone it until next Sunday 19th April. Hey trekkers; we were so disappointed today not to have our trek . It started raining here last night (unforecasted) and was still raining this morning (100mls later). We had our first couple staying in our teeny home “Shearer’s Quarters “ last night but unfortunately they didn’t get to finish their weekend away riding with us. Our Teeny home is available to stay in 1 or 2 nights of the weekend of our ride. Please look up our teeny home on our website www.burtstrailride.co.nz. You won’t be disappointed 😍🐴
