We had an awesome time at the stealth series comp in Tauranga this Saturday. Brayden, Gideon and Josheb did amazing through all their matches. Brayden and Gideon both went up against adults in a higher weight division and still performed exceptionally and Josheb took away a gold in his second ever competition.

What an awesome day at the Pacific open in Tauranga today. I'm super proud of all of my students for their efforts today. Jurnee did a fantastic job of helping prepare the kids and coaching from the sideline. Unfortunately she had no match today but stepped up as a coach. We took away 2 gold 2 silver and a bronze and plenty of techniques to work on for next time

Hey team we will be trialing a competition class starting next Wednesday 3.45pm. This class will be for kids serious about competition and will be faster pace and focused on comp performance. We will be at two competitions in june and july. There will be more throughout the later half of the year.

A decade and change on the mats and thats not changing anytime soon! Big thank you to Professor Nathan Sowter Matthew Burton Cody Gordon and Marina Dawson for puttimg me through the ringer, lifting me up in my jiu-jitsu mindset and really making feel like part of the team. Thank Richard Joule and Stephen Currie for joining in the celebration and roughing me up! And a massive thank you to the Matamata bjj troop for being the main reason I keep training!
