Wairarapa had 3 teams in the fours start of play today.
In the Open Section, Donald Leighton, Janice Leighton, Steve Rowlett and Kylie Rowlett qualified.

In the Masters Section the team of Neville Mikos, Julie Mikoz, Murray Larkin and Colleen Larkin qualified. Sarndra Bain, Peter Bain, Paul Miller and Gail Miller went close with 2 & 2.

The qualifiers play at 8.30 am tomorrow all the best of bowls to the teams.

Wairarapa had 5 teams playing in the pairs event over the last two days at the 76th NZIB National Championships.

In the Open event 58 teams qualified, Donald Leighton & Steve Rowlett went out in last 16.

In the Masters event Alex Butler & Dianne Haswell, Peter Bain & Paul Miller did not qualify.

There were 56 qualifiers, Julie & Neville Mikos went out in the first post section round and Kelly & Elva Simonsen went out in the last 8.

Well done to all who played and all the best for the triples and fours.

Well done to Kelly Simonsen, Alex Butler, Donald Leighton and George Baker on qualifying in the Masters Section of Singles and also Steve Rowlett who has also gone through in the Open Section.

They are playing now at the 76th NZIB National Championships.

Today the Central Wairarapa Open Singles was played at Hogg Cres.

Congratulations to the Winner Alex Butler and well to Sarndra Bain the Runner-Up.

Well done Elva Simonsen who won the Presidents Cup for most points scored during qualifying, this excludes semis finals upwards.

Central Wairarapa Assn held the Elimination Henselite Singles today.
The final was a very close game all square at 9 all after 15 ends.

Congratulations to the Winner Logan Mikoz and well done to the Runner-Up Sarndra Bain.

All the best to Logan who goes on to the Zone play-offs.

Thank you to everyone that came and spotted jacks, marked games and for your support it was appreciated.

The Horseshoe Club played in Upper Hutt yesterday for the Over The Hill Trophy.

Five clubs play in this annual tournament, The Horseshoe Club, Porirua Club, South Wairarapa Workingmens Club, Tararua Club and Upper Hutt Cossie Club.

The Horseshoe Club came out the winners of the day going through unbeaten. Well done teams.
