MIGHTY PREASSURE WASHING doing it for our kids! 💪🏼 These legends are taking time out of their busy schedule to give the courts one last wash before the resurface in a week or so!

Huge thank you to you boys, we couldn’t do what we do without local legends helping us with the hard mahi!

If you need your driveway, house, roof or gutters cleaned reach out to Josh and the team for a great local service with a big smile! Mighty Pressure Washing 🫶🏼

🙌🏼🙌🏼 not long now team!!!!

Huge thank you to the boys at Rangitīkei Hire Centre for the heavy machinery and the legends at Mighty Pressure Washing for generously offering to do one more big clean on the courts before Plexipave arrive!

We have removed (almost) all the poles and hoops, these go into a sleeve in the ground so have left exposed holes in the ground which are a hazard to anyone walking through that space. They are covered with big road cones, please leave them alone, we will check everyday up until the courts are closed off to make sure everyone is safe.

We will let you all know when the time comes to close off the space, the re-surface will take 5-7 days to complete, we ask you respect the fencing and signs and just wait till it’s all dry and ready to roll before using it. RDC will do the final sign off then our beautiful new space will be back available to all the community!

First hoon will be T1 Twlight, with adults, kids and walking netball all on offer again! Keep your eyes peeled for registrations.

We can’t wait to see this space transformed and are so grateful for EVERYONE who has contributed towards this Kaupapa, it takes a village and we have a cool one!!!! 😎

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON 🤩
The puddle jumping is over and Shane Gribbon and the team have finished the beautiful new drain down at the courts! This is the last project to complete before the re-surface this month (weather permitting)

We will leave the basketball hoops up for the remainder of the school holidays and then they will be removed in preparation for the new surface to be laid.

We will keep the community updated as best we can, the court area will be completely closed off to the public while the re-surface is happening so if you use it as a thoroughfare you will have to unfortunately take the long way around. It’s a short term inconvenience for massive long term gain!

We can’t wait to see this community space transformed in the coming weeks and are even more excited to see the community hitting the courts feeling safe and proud of this space!

COURT UPGRADE UPDATE 👌🏼
We are almost there! Funding has been secured, courts have been steam cleaned, new signs up, lumpy asphalt replaced, new drain going in and a whole bunch of aroha from the community to get there!

We are so excited to almost be at the finish line, the courts are due to be re-surfaced at the end of October with a 3 tone green which we think is a beautiful nod to the RNC club colours but also will blend in beautifully with its surrounding green spaces.

A true community space we can all be proud of! We will be holding a special opening ceremony once we have firmed up dates and council have done all their final checks.

We can’t wait to see this dream come to life for not only our current netball tamariki but for the future generations of kids who deserve a safe place to play, connect and thrive in our small town.

First hoon on the new surface will be Term 1 twilight which will also include the entertaining WALKING NETBALL! Keep your eyes peeled for registrations.
