REMINDER: Have a child aged 5-11? Register for the Smash Play Cricket Festival happening this Saturday! 💥

What better way to celebrate a fantastic first half of the season than with a FREE morning of playing and watching cricket?!

Come along to the Smash Play Festival for kids at the Saxton Athletics Track this Saturday. It'll be an action-packed hour of cricket games, plus a free sausage sizzle for all junior players. After the festival, head next door and grab a spot on the bank at Saxton Oval to enjoy the excitement of the North v South Women’s Series. It’s an awesome opportunity for our young cricketers to watch some of the country’s top female players in action, and the whole day is completely FREE.

Would anyone like any of this before we get rid:
The two big bags are nets- I can't quite remember what they look like up but Isaac believes they are like the screen shot. I don't have the inclination to set them all up but if anyone keen to take and try feel free - we used at the domain and also quite good for the back garden.
3 times pairs of spikes: The adidas are US 9 Uk 8 - the Kookabarra are US 6 UK 5 and the Asics will be most likely be a US8/UK 7 but rubbed off.
Bat but needs new grip.

It was a real team effort with some great running between the wickets by Charlie today and I think 4 wicket haul by soren!

Mapua Comets played Machine Ball Cricket against Waimea Toi Toi Cheetahs at Saxton Field. Lots of fun was had by all with several 6's hit by both teams... might need to set the machines to level 2 difficulty next week 🙂

A great win by the Mapua stars 🌟over the wanderers atoms today in windy conditions at Upper Moutere.

The first innings was a mix of exceptional bowling at times but again gifting the opposition far too many extras!

Some great work with the bat coupled with excellent running produced a great innings to take the win!

Big thanks to George Aerakis and Matt for stepping in a supporting the team with week!

The sun was out for another glorious morning of Machine Ball Cricket at Saxton Field. Great work by the Comets (yrs 2 &3) with both bat & ball against Wakefield. The Machine Ball format is working well to help us learn the game and all the different things we need to be thinking about when batting and fielding!

Awesome game yesterday for Nicks - Edridge Contracting Mapua Cats with a solid win. Big improvement on bowling from last week with minimal
wides. Everyone has improved in the field, with our first caught and bowled.

Edridge Contracting Mapua Cats have hit the ground running this season, and are really stepping up to hard ball!

Great t on see some of them back to mapua to chair on the Mapua stars in their last few overs!
