ACKNOWLEDGING AND CELEBRATING THE THING CALLED MARRIAGE. THIS ISN’T AN ANNIVERSARY POST.
HAPPILY CLAIMING AND STEPPING INTO OUR NEW SEASON WITH GOD.
The favour and hand of God have moved our marriage into heights greater than I ever thought possible.
Those who know, know that marriage is not a walk in the park. It is a training ground where the former version of yourself must diminish so that a new version can be birthed, one that is better aligned, more compatible, and more Christ-like for your spouse.
This isn’t a “look at me” post. It is simply a reminder and encouragement that strong marriages are built through faith, commitment, sacrifice, and hard work.
To simply celebrate 20 plus years of a vision I carried in my heart for marriage, a vision that, by the grace of God and through perseverance, has become reality.
I honour what I believe is the highest calling of a man after following Christ: to faithfully love, lead, and serve his marriage and family.
I am truly grateful for the blueprint of marriage found in the greatest book ever written, the Word of God. What an incredible privilege it is to be married.
My heart’s desire for our marriage is not merely to exist, but to continually align ourselves with the true purpose and intention of God.
Being close and intimate with God naturally flows into the intimacy that so many people are searching for. When your relationship with God is healthy, it transforms the way you love, serve, honour, and pursue your spouse.
The world often teaches us to chase intimacy, but in God’s design, intimacy is not something we seek it is something we become. As we become more like Christ, intimacy becomes the fruit of a life surrendered to Him.
God’s intentional design and purpose for marriage has often been distorted and redefined by man. Yet His blueprint remains unchanged: a covenant built on love, sacrifice, unity, commitment, and mutual submission under His authority.
The closer we draw to God, the closer we grow to one another. That is the beauty and power of a marriage centred on Christ.
