Core restore programs as well as group training and one on one sessions. Just a little explanation as to how ForwardFit was born. I have always been into fitness and LOVE movement – slightly hyperactive! My world changed in an instant 18 months ago when I was diagnosed with a prolapse. I had no idea what prolapse was let alone that it could happen to me. I went from being a very physically active

woman to one who couldn't even carry the washing basket. Being the stubborn mule that I am there was no way I was going to spend the rest if my life sitting on the couch feeling sorry for myself! I spent 18 months working with many local and international specialists to better my situation and get back to a place where movement felt fun again. I spent (and still do spend) countless hours learning and studying how the woman's anatomy works and how best to move with body awareness and confidence. Admittedly this all started out for selfish reasons trying to heal myself but the deeper I got into it the more I realised that I was not the only woman that had no idea about all this stuff! I have always loved fitness but soon discovered that I actually love the in’s and out’s of how our bodies work and soon immersed myself in as many courses as I could becoming a reps registered trainer, pre and post natal trainer along the way. ForwardFit is all about sharing what I have learnt, creating fitness that is fun today and empowers your tomorrow no matter what life stage you are at. Services include;

NZ is STUNNING.....

Just because it says it's a raincoat does not mean it's a West Coast of the South Island raincoat.....

16kgs is a bloody heavy pack......

Nothing tastes better than 2 min noodles after walking in the rain......

If T-rex is going to burst out of the forest anywhere - its here.....

Climbing up to the top bunk is a whole other level of "we've got this body".....

Food aways taste better on a hike - unless its powdered egg, they can stay at home next time....

I looooooove being outside.......

Un**es, togs, there all the same when your hiking.....

There are three ways to cross a ford, risking life and limp to keep your feet dry, attempting to keep your feet dry with a slice of f**k it thats good enough and walking straight through.......

Blister wool is going on the packing list next time. Open to recommendations......

Hike with people that make you laugh so hard, strangers stop and ask if you are ok.....

Huts are the coolest place to meet the coolest people......

If you snore..... please fall asleep after me....

Don't forget your p's. Poles, pack, phone, pessary peeps your walking with..... you'd be surprised how easy it is to do.....

I loooooove having no cell coverage (sorry family)......

And last but def not least, friends that say yes to walking 80kms over four days carrying a small house on their backs last minute are my favorite kind of people. Love, love, looooooove adventuring with beautiful if not slightly crazy friends 🙏🙏.....

If you haven't done an overnight or multi-day hike, highly recommend!

Core Cofidence 8 Week Pelvic Floor & Deep Core Program is back!!!

Kicking off Monday the 9th February and running for 8 weeks.

Choose from either a day time session at 11.15am or evening session at 6.45pm.

I'm upper dupper excited to offer this ever evolving (always studying and learning more) program after a two year break (while supporting my parents kick the big C)!

Whanganui River Journey definitely delivered!

Four days of pure NZ adventure ✨️.

Sunshine to torrential rain with a splash of thunder and lightening.

Easy paddling to wholly kamolly this is hard headwinds.

Low river levels, to woah that came up fast and then Bessy floated by.....

Easy peasy rapids to woohoa we're alive rapids.

Sleeping on the ground to luxury (well what felt like luxury 😅) doc hut accommodation.

Stunning scenery to pinch me is this real scenery.

The best crew of people to explore with - from over anxious me to absolutely chilled she'll be right teenagers.

Bucket is feeling well and truly full.

Thanks body for letting me explore this epic place we are lucky enough to call home, with epic people 🙏.

So what is Core Confidence ........?

Core Confidence is a program I designed after experiencing my own s**t storm pelvic dysfunction (gah hate that term - prefer pelvic renovations 😅).

I learnt all that I could, from so many amazing people - Dr Sarah Duvall, Antony Lo, Julie Weibe, Jenny Burrell to name a few.
Initially it was to help myself as I couldn't quite find the answers I was looking for and I was determined not to live the rest of my life on the sidelines.
I quickly realized there were so many other women that would benefit from this information too!

Core Confidence, called Core Restore back then was born. It was originally a six week program but as my study continued and I received feedback for more, it grew to an eight week program.

Over the years the program has evolved - ongoing study, my own journey and of course the most powerful, working with real women and their journeys. Nothing cements learning like getting out of the books and working with real people!

My own rehab journey had been at times lonely, confusing and tediously boring.

I wanted to created an effective program where women felt seen, supported and dare I say it - was just a little bit fun!

Life is full of lots of ups and downs. From one of my biggest downs - aka "broken bits" came one of my biggest ups - a completely new career and Core Confidence 💛.

Thanks for listening to my five second journey down history lane. There is lots more info coming as to what the program involves but if you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to reach out. When it comes to pelvic health I am an absolute open book.

How we run our sessions?

You choose the session or sessions that will likely suit you for the majority of the term. Your spot is then locked and loaded in those sessions for the term in our booking software (spot guaranteed for the term - commitment made to yourself!). Buuuuuut it gets better, if life gets in the way of your usually session you are more than welcome to jump on our booking app, cancel that session and then re-book into any other session that suits either that week or any time within the term.

Over the years we have tried many different ways to structure our group session bookings and have found this way to work like a treat. The sessions are tailored to the individuals that are coming, you get to connect with an awesome group of women AND still have the flexibility to change if you need to.

The other day a beautiful client asked, "have you studied with Dr Stacy Sims"?

Yes, I have 🤓💪.

"Well that makes sense, because I was listening to a podcast she was on and thinking yes we do that in class, we do that in class and we do that in class".

I am always learning! Health and fitness science is forever evolving and I want to offer the best service I can. Plus our bodies are pretty bloody cool - it's a forever fascinating area to study (way funner than tax was!).

Over the years I have dived into many menopause specific qualifications including;

Female Health and Performance Coach through Nardia Norman,
3rd Age Women Certification through Burrell Education,
Menopause Coaching Specialist Certification through Girls Gone Strong,
and of course Menopause for Athletes Course through Dr Stacy Sims (and yes we are all athletes 😉).

Each qualification adds a slightly different lense to layer into our sessions. It's not about one perfect way of doing things but rather taking the science and applying it to the gorgeous individuals in front of you. I loooooooove understanding the why and then making it real life.

Eeeeeee! I am this excited to say Core Confidence is back for 2026!!

After almost two years supporting both my parents through their s**te storm of rollercoaster cancer treatments I am ubber pumped to be on the other side with time to commit to Core Confidence again (please don't have just jinx myself)!

Core Confidence was my original "why" when I got into this industry (called Core Restore back then). I was on a mission to spread all that I had learned from my own pelvic health journey to anybody that would benefit. I never wanted anybody to say - why didn't some one tell me! My passion for pelvic health and empowering women to feel strong and confident in their bodies has not faded in the slightest.

The memory of feeling completely broken with no idea where to turn to next will always be etched in my mind. Even now - years later, every time I run, explore, lift a little heavier, jump, get jiggy with it without pain, say yes to things that make me smile, I am insanely grateful for my body and what it now enables me to do. E V E R Y single time I have a little thank you party in my head, never forgetting how it felt not to be able to. This is fuel to my fire. The reason I have learnt as much as I can so that other women can explore this life how they want to, too. Without fear or pain or limitation (and being able to jump for the photo without a second thought!).

Sometimes life hands us lemons, but s**t that can make the lemonade taste even better!
