Often the best thing you can do for your body is give it variation 💪

One thing I’ve loved throughout pregnancy has been keeping Pilates in my weekly routine.

It’s such a good reminder that movement doesn’t have to look the same, and that variation in training is so important.

I love my Gym days, but having Pilates as part of my week has helped me slow down a little, move differently, focus on control, breathing, mobility, posture and just feeling good in my body as it changes week to week 🤍

And I also love that I get to do these sessions with my Mum, we go to Natalie for private sessions and she's amazing at modifying movements as my pregnancy progresses, while also tailoring things around Mum’s body/injuries too. That one-on-one attention makes such a difference. So thank you Nat!

I also think it’s so important as a trainer myself to still be coached by other trainers. You never stop learning. Sometimes it’s nice to switch your brain off, be the client for a change, and put trust in someone else’s expertise 👏

Movement doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
You don’t need all your eggs in one training basket 🧺✨

Most people come to me for fat loss.

“I want to lose weight”
“I want to tone up”

And that’s totally okay, that’s often where it starts 💪
But it’s rarely where it ends.

Because pretty quickly, things begin to shift..

You start noticing you’re getting stronger
You feel more confident walking into the gym
You enjoy your sessions instead of dreading them
You start setting goals that have nothing to do with the scales

And that’s where the magic happens ✨

As a coach, I’m not here to just help you burn calories or chase a number on the scales.

I’m here to help you:

– understand your body

Because when you focus on those things…

Still buzzing from Friday night ✨

A huge thank you to the amazing women who came along to our Menopause Chat. It was so special seeing a room full of women coming together to learn, share, ask questions, and support each other.

I was definitely a little nervous beforehand, but once we got going it flowed and the energy in the room was incredible. There were laughs, great questions, and such an open and supportive vibe.

Creating a space where women can talk about this stage of life honestly and without judgment felt really special.

A couple of the big messages from the night:

💛 Be kind to yourself
💪 Consistency beats intensity
🌿 Look at the whole picture when it comes to your health

A big thank you to Laura from Mangawhai Physio for doing this alongside me. And Vicki thank you for being there for us and the use of your amazing space!

It was so awesome to collaborate and combine our knowledge to support women in our community.

Laura did such an amazing job sharing her insights around pelvic health, and I’m really grateful we could create this space together.

And thank you as well for hosting us in such a welcoming environment. It really helped make the night feel relaxed, safe, and open for everyone there.

I love a Sn**ch! 🏋️‍♀️

Sn**ches have always been one of those movements I always want to improve. They're Powerful. Technical. And a lil bit spicy 🌶

I’ve added a few back in post hip surgery, and at 20 weeks pregnant I’m still feeling confident with them.. but I can already tell my body is adapting.

Without even thinking about it, I’m more protective of my belly. My bar path isn’t as tight as it usually would be because naturally I’m creating space. And that’s okay.

You can probably see it in the videos. It’s not “perfect” and I’m not trying to make it perfect right now.

I haven’t been consistently snatching for months, and I’m not going to chase numbers or force technique while my body is changing week by week.

That’s me listening to my body.
I'm trying to respect the season I’m in.

As my belly grows, these will likely become less frequent. I don’t want to ingrain habits that aren’t ideal long term. (We want the bar to be as close to our body as we drag it up throughout the Sn**ch, to stay in a nice straight line, not curve round an obstacle 😁)

But I’m grateful I can still include them here and there for a bit longer..

Pregnancy looks different for everyone. This is just what feels good and safe for me right now 💛

Movement doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Sometimes it’s about keeping the things you love in the mix, even if they look a little different for a while.

And today? That session was FUN 💪✨

Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit here..

Next Friday we’re hosting a FREE Menopause Info Evening, and I’ll be one of the speakers (😅) alongside an amazing women’s health physio Laura.

I’ll be honest, public speaking makes me a little nervous 😅

But working with more and more women going through this I wanted to be able to support my clients & members best, and I know how many women are navigating this phase feeling confused, overwhelmed, or alone..

This is our way of giving back to our community sharing info we've learnt & answering any questions you may have ☺️

A little life + business update from me 🩵

You might notice my page is covering a few different seasons right now.. and that’s intentional.

✨ I’ve completed my Menopause Coaching certification and I’m actively supporting women through peri + menopause.
✨ I’m currently deep in my Pre & Postnatal studies.
✨ And I’m also navigating my own pregnancy journey in real time alongside running

So yeah.. there’s a bit going on over here 😍

But here’s what I want you to know:
I’m still very much here for the menopause chats.
The questions.
The “why does my body feel different?” convos.
The strength training, protein, sleep, recovery yarns.

Just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I’ve left that space. If anything, it’s made me even more aware of how powerful and complex our bodies are through every stage of life 🙌

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching.
I believe in meeting you where you’re at.

Getting back into workouts after a couple of weeks off is… humbling 😂

I did my first proper sessions back last week and wow I could feel those two weeks of rest. And honestly, that’s normal.

So if you managed to keep moving over the holidays, even just walks, swims, a few home workouts - that’s awesome, be proud of that!

And if you didn’t… also totally okay. You’re not broken. We’re just human.

There’s no need to punish yourself or “make up for it.” Just one foot in front of the other. Small sessions. Small habits. Getting back into a rhythm that actually feels good.

I’m easing back in too, a few PTs last week, more kicking off this week and honestly I’m just enjoying finding my groove again rather than going 0 to 100.

Whether you’re already in full swing, slowly restarting, or still in holiday mode… listen to your body, soak up the sunshine, and start where you are.

We’re just over a week out from Christmas!! 🤯
and honestly, it’s that end of year feeling..

Things wrapping up.
Brains a bit fried.
Motivation a bit up and down.

Training hasn’t been about PBs or big goals lately,
it’s about showing up where I can.

A workout.
Some rehab.
A bit of movement.

Not pushing.
Not quitting.
Just ticking the box and moving on with the day.

If this time of year feels messy, busy, or a bit “blah” know you’re not doing it wrong.

Sometimes the win is simply not stopping 🫶

☀️ Menopause Tip Of The Week ☀️

We’re officially in the warmer months, which is amazing… unless you’re already dealing with hot flushes or heat sensitivity thanks to perimenopause/menopause.
Then the combo can feel like someone turned your internal thermostat to 100% 😅🥵

Here are some simple tips that make a BIG difference this time of year:

✨ Wear breathable clothing so you can cool down easily
✨ Keep a cold drink or cooling towel nearby (gym bag essential!)
✨ Hydrate more than you think you need, we lose fluids faster in summer
✨ Add electrolytes, especially on training days or hotter days
✨ Lower your workout intensity when your body needs it - not forever, just listen in
✨ Stay in shaded or cooler environments when symptoms are flaring
✨ Avoid big spikes in caffeine or alcohol, which can trigger hot flushes for some

Remember:
You’re not being dramatic.
Your hormones literally change how your body regulates temperature.

Supporting yourself through that is smart, not weak 💛

You’re doing amazing, keep looking after yourself through the silly season heat 🫶
