Cook Strait Fishing Charters We operate full day, half day and 4 hour harbour fishing trips and charters in the Wellington area.

We offer whole boat sole charters to groups, companies and organizations and also offer share-cost trips where you can join other smaller groups and individuals for a great day out fishing for an affordable price. Wellington offers a wide range of fishing options, from excellent deep water fishing for groper, bass, bluenose, shark and ling. Great inshore fishing around the extensive southern coast

line for blue cod, tarakihi, trevally, kingfish, trumpeter, sea perch and other species. Wellington harbour also offers a wide variety of species in very sheltered waters - harbour trips are great for families, school groups or those keen to try an easily accessible fishing experience. Catering can be arranged for group bookings if required, or you are welcome to use our cooking equipment on board. We have a quality BBQ on board, fridge, hot water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Breakfast items for self service and a small BBQ lunch is provided on all sharecost trips.

Cook Strait Fishing Charters Ltd operates the vessel Seafarer II from Wellington running charter fishing trips in the Wellington/Mana/Kapiti area, and multi-day fishing trips to Durville Island and the Marlborough Sounds.

We are looking for suitable people to cover the position of Deckhand on our busy charter boat. To apply for this role you should possess...

- friendly out-going personality
- customer service ethic and experience
- boating and fishing experience
- be able to fillet and process fish
- first aid certificate
- be comfortable with early starts and late finishes. The nature of fishing means that the work involves irregular and at times long hours, reflected within the offered pay rate.

Due to the nature of Wellington weather the work hours fluctuate considerably, so work would be on a casual or contract basis.

Additional training will be provided to the successful candidate.
