Bookings are now OPEN for our upcoming School Holiday Swimming Lessons at Huia Pool! 🌊

Our holiday programme is a fantastic way for children to build confidence in the water, improve swimming skills, stay active, and have fun during the school holidays. Swimming also helps develop fitness, coordination, strength, and essential water safety skills. 💪💦

We offer lessons for:
💦 Pre-schoolers (3½–5 years)
💦 School-age children (5+ years)
💦 Private lessons (5+ years)

🌊 ADULT DEEP WATER SESSION 🌊
Want to feel safer and more confident in deep water?
Join our Adult Deep Water Session on Thursday 9 July from 6:00pm–7:00pm.

✅ Week 1: 6–9 July (Monday–Thursday)
✅ Week 2: 13–17 July (Monday–Friday)
⏰ Lesson times: 8:30am–10:30am

We would like to remind all clients of our pool safe supervision requirements.

Children under 10 years of age must be actively supervised at all times by a caregiver aged 16 years or older while at the facility.

Please remember that swim instructors are responsible for teaching lessons only and are not responsible for supervising children before, during, or after lessons. Supervision remains the responsibility of the caregiver.

In recent weeks, during unexpected pool closures, our staff have had to use valuable time and resources supervising children who were left without a caregiver present, as well as attempting to locate parents or guardians.

These requirements are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and patrons within our facility.

We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and ongoing support in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

As we move closer to celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Hydro / Learn to Swim Pool, we’d love to share some of the journey with you all.

This photo was taken 10 years ago today, when then Mayor of Lower Hutt, Ray Wallace, officially marked the beginning of construction on the project.

Also pictured are some of the Swim City instructors and clients who were there to share this special moment and help mark the beginning of what would become an important community space for learning, confidence, and connection in the water.

We look forward to sharing more memories and milestones with you.

Swim City honour ANZAC day Saturday 25th April.

There will be no lessons Saturday 25th April and Monday 27th April.

Payments have been suspended for these days.

Lessons will run as normal Sunday 26th April.
