Hutt City United Baseball Club Est 2023 with a vision to bring a diamond sport club to our community. Our goal is to foster a healthy and balanced approach to their athletic pursuits.

Our mission is to provide accessible & equitable opportunities to our tamariki & rangatahi, ensuring that every player has the chance to develop their skills & passion for the game. Established in 2023 by a dedicated Executive Committee, Hutt City United Baseball Club was created with a vision to bring a diamond sport club to our community, recognising that 95% of our players also participate in s

oftball. Our mission is to provide accessible and equitable opportunities to our tamariki and rangatahi, ensuring that every player has the chance to develop their skills and passion for the game. We are committed to player welfare, focusing on arm care and managing overuse to support athletes who play multiple sports. Exciting developments are on the horizon as we look forward to the enhancement of our home ground at Naenae Park this year. Registrations are now open for our HCU 14U and 16U teams for the 2026/27 season ⚾️

Following the success of last season, both regionally and nationally, we are excited to once again field teams in both age grades and build on that momentum.

Thanks to generous grant funding, the Baseball New Zealand affiliation fee portion of player fees will be covered this season.

We are also always keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help with coaching, umpiring or scoring. Support will be provided, so you do not need to already be an expert. If you can help, email us at [email protected].

⚾️ Player Registrations ⚾️

We’ve had a few questions about when registrations will open for the upcoming season, and we’ve got some great news!

Thanks to grant funding secured to cover Baseball NZ levies, player fees will be subsidised this season 🙌

Baseball NZ is currently working behind the scenes on a technical update to remove these levies from the online registration system. As soon as that’s sorted, we’ll have our registration link live and ready to go.

The Wellington clubs are also meeting next week to finalise season details, so keep an eye on our page for more information coming soon.

In the meantime, don’t forget about our pre-season sessions coming up! ⚾

Everyone is welcome - whether you’re completely new to baseball and keen to give it a go, or you’re one of our returning players getting ready for another season.

MSB27 - REGISTRATION UPDATE

Almost full in the 14U, and pretty close with 16U as well! - Once the registrations are full, we will keep open for waitlisted athletes.

Still plenty of spaces in the 12U Ripken Division, so get over to our registration form and sign up your athlete today. SHARE TO ANYONE YOU THINK MIGHT BE INTERESTED!

Do you need to be registered with a club to play at the MSB?: NO!! we welcome athletes, boys and girls from all sports, and backgrounds wanting to give baseball a crack, especially at the 12U level, as this is the ideal starting point to be introduced to our great game! You may be from a part of the country that organised baseball doesn't exist, but this shouldn't restrict you from participating!
