Welcome to Maungaraki Tennis Club (MTC), a very social and established club, founded in 1973. The club has three hard courts located in Barberry Grove, Maungaraki, together with a large pavilion with modern showering and changing rooms, plus other indoor facilities such as a pool table & table tennis. We are a friendly tennis club with good modern facilities catering for all ages from pre school t

o very senior citizens - our oldest playing member is over 80! We have 3 flexipave floodlit courts which allow us to play evening leagues throughout the year. MTC is affiliated to Hutt Valley Tennis, and as such has access to the facilities at Mitchell Park in Lower Hutt. Please browse our site for details or what we have to offer, and we are always keen to welcome new players of all ages to come and join the fun.

What a match up - these Western Hills Principals were here to play! Huge rallies, some fun racquet choices and even a cheeky line challenge to our Official umpire.
Our Pro Tennis Partners were put through their paces keeping up with the fast shots and friendly banter.

Tennis was the winner on the day - but in case you were wondering - the 2026 Principals Challenge title is heading to the end of Martin Grove...

Mr Burt - NORMANDALE SCHOOL vs Mr Robinson - MAUNGARAKI SCHOOL

This doubles match will start at 1pm Sunday 13th September - be there to support your principals and be in with a chance to win the $2000 Tennis Prize Pack for your school!

To enter to win the $2,000 SCHOOLS TENNIS GEAR PACK, you just need to visit our Love Tennis Open Day where your name and school will be recorded. The winning school will be decided by which school has had the largest number of attendees.

So, whether you have never tried tennis before or you are looking to get back into the game, we would love to see you there. Bring your family and your friends and get your tennis game on!
