Awesome to see 5 of our Shandon girls represented Wellington Women's team this weekend and they were dominant over Hawkes Bay, Taranaki & Man/Wang.

Our Shandon ladies has won back to back at the Champion of champions 2020. Our 2 junior members, Darae won the overall gross and Toaiva won the best nett for Bronze division. Regina also won the 2nd best gross for bronze division. Awesome work despite the 100km gusty wind at Miramar.

What a great event the Korean cup was! It was very successful! 130 members played this event and raised $2,200. The fund was kindly donated to Shandon Junior academy. Huge thanks to Korean community to hold this event every year!

After a qualifying round for the club champs Darae shared her experience how she practises effectively.

Shandon's own girls had successful results at WGI Women's 36 holes Strokeplay at Otaki GC on Saturday.
Darae won the overall gross and Teisa won Div2 gross. Victoria also won the best Nett in Div1. Awesome work girls! We are super proud of you! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! Darae has won the overall and U15 age group at the South Island U19 Women's Championship in Christchurch. She finished final round with a -4 to win by 3 shots. She had rounds of 70, 73, 69 total -7.

Lots of kids and parents turned up for 6 shortened holes as a team. Great event!!!

On Waitangi day there was Mixed combined stableford at Shandon. 9 year old Toaiva Faafia hit her personal best breaking 100 on 30 handicap. Her stableford score was 45. Toaiva and her playing partner Clayton More won the Harry Devos Memorial cup.
Toaiva' sister, Victoria also shot her personal best 88 on 23 handicap winning the 2nd. Both sisters joined Shandon 3 months ago and are making good development. They are now playing for our interclub teams Mary Award and Junior pennants. Watch out for these girls. We are very proud of you Toaiva & Victoria!

Today Korean cup was very successful with 140 entries. The Wellington Korean golf assoation donated all the entry fees which is $1,665 to Shandon Junior golf academy. Club Chairman John Topp represented junior academy to receive the fund from Brian Park.

College Sport Wellington Junior Golf Champs at Trentham GC.
Darae won the girl's best gross(71) and new junior academy member Victoria Faafia won the girl's best nett(69). Well done for both of you!
