Looking for an Experienced Rider over 18 years old – Linton
We are looking for an experienced rider to help out on our farm in Linton. This is an unpaid opportunity for someone who is passionate about horses and keen to gain further experience working with young and green horses.
The role will involve bringing green horses into work, assisting with their ongoing education and training, and helping finish the breaking-in of two three-year-olds. Duties may include riding, groundwork, grooming, tacking up, general horse care, and assisting with taking horses to CTRs and other events when required.
Applicants must be experienced riders, confident handling and riding green or young horses, and able to follow instructions well. We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, safety-conscious, and committed to helping produce quality horses.
The successful applicant will need to be available after 5:00 pm two to three evenings per week, as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Wednesdays are flexible, with the opportunity to come out and ride at any time during the day. This opportunity is available throughout the spring and summer months.
In return for your time and commitment, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working with and training young horses, receive weekend riding lessons, and have opportunities to attend CTRs and other events.
