With the weather starting to warm up I’m being asked about rug washing before packing away the heavy winter rugs.
My go-to products are NikWax Rug Wash & NikWax Rug Proof for the ultimate rug care. Super easy liquids that go in the washing machine with the rug.

Step 1 - Wash in NikWax Rug Wash - this cleans & cares for the rug without stripping the waterproofing
Step 2 - Reproof with NikWax Rug Proof - this reroofs the waterproofing layer
Step 3 - Once completely dry fold nicely & store in a something breathable, the bag the rug came in is ideal & keeps things clean & tidy

Looking for somewhere to wash the rugs? Most laundromats have a large machine exclusively for animal rugs - Huapai laundromat is my favourite!

Have a dog cover as well? Throw it in with your horse rug when washing to give it a spruce up 😊

🥶 it’s a wee bit frosty overnight & early morning, but how amazing is this sunshine! ☀️
