Hard Yards Hunting is different to most NZ outfits in that we only offer real free range hunting. We believe the 'trophy' of a hunt is earned through hard work and adventure. We specialize in free range Tahr and Chamois hunts.We also cater for most other New Zealand Game species(Red Stag,Wild Boar,Wild Sheep,Feral Goats and small game). We have access to private land and through our membership in

Few summer snaps from the summer that wasn't.

Wettest summer in my memory that's for sure. Was hard to get many of the missions we had planned done, but sometimes the weather man wins.

Some times you get lucky!

A nice double up on chamois bucks from last season.

Chamois in peak rut can be very exciting to hunt, extremely active and curious, they always keep you on your toes.

This is the 3rd double up I've had in my guiding career so far. Often with two bucks chasing each other you can shoot one, and the other comes to see what's happening.
