Stunning weather for the 2nd ride in the Wgtn Schools Cycling calendar for 2026! A sunny day with virtually no wind made for an excellent time trial course (albeit a little cold on the fingers).
All the riders absolutely gave it their best today: No less than SIX course records were broken!
Tim Cuthbert (Wgtn College) is now the fastest ever rider on this course. Tim has set the marker and now the hunt is on for someone to go under 25 minutes.

The next event is this Sunday May 24th at 9am.
The Wainuiomata Coast Rd TTT or ITT - 16km
This is an Individual Time Trial or a Teams Time Trial to suit. We meet at the entrance to the Rimutaka forest Park Entrance on the Wainuiomata Coast Rd.
First rider away will be at 9am and riders thereafter every minute. No entry cost and no numbers needed.
Younger riders can be escorted by a parent. We will require a parent to be at the end of the road on the Coast at the turn-around.
If you require a lift there or you can offer a lift for a Junior, please mention this in the WhatsApp
Please arrive approx 8:30am so we can prepare the start sheets
