Any one over 30's and keen to for a game this weekend PM me or email me on [email protected]. We are looking for more numbers to play in the Poneke Pressies team. Its focused on being a really fun and social team with touch being our training once a week. No contested scrums at this grade with focus on running rugby. There a number of former Cavs and Ravs coming over to play that can't commit to a first div team so if you are keen let me know!!! We are having as run around tomorrow at Poneke from 6pm. Be great to see some old faces there!

1. Poneke Cavs Open Day, Kilbirnie Park, Wednesday 4th March 6:15-7:15pm

This is an important date, as it allows us to know who is playing this season or available in an emergency. It also a great opportunity for everyone to catch up
with the arrival of new players and a new coaching set-up.
Welcome new players
Registration forms to be filled in (new players). Current players just need to confirm there personal details haven't changed
It still is a preseason training session, so bring gear etc.
IMPORTANT: Please email to let me know whether you are able to attend or not. (if you haven't already notified me)

2. Player Recruitment

At the moment we have 15 of last year's squad back, and 8 new recruits.

Last year, we had 31 people play for the team during the season. With 28 permanent squad members. We're looking to reach 28 players again. So if you have a friend, relative or workmate who is interested in playing and can make weight, bring them along, or reply back to me via email with them CC: in this message.

Positions we are looking to improve depth: ho**er, flankers x2 and midfield

In summary, I need the following:

1. Attending Open Day on March 4th: Yes / No, but available / Not playing this season

- Preferred position
- position cover

2. CC: new player/s email addresses to me, so I can add them to the team email list.

And playing position/s

3. Any other queries you may have regarding the upcoming season.

Time to get fit! After a year off from injury and being a new dad the weight has packed on! Now its time to shed the kilos and get ready for Ravs 2015 and play hard! I will keep everyone up to date here on my progress and love to get some help in keeping me motivated. We will be playing touch as well once a week. First run tomorrow!! Here we go Ravs 2015 !!! Gonna be huge!

Great news so far we have a number of returning players and a large number of new players ready to represent the red and black! We still have heaps of room new players to the game. Ravs is a social team and we focus on making sure every one gets to enjoy the game at a great level with fantastic coaches and club support.

To all of the players and supporters at Poneke Football Club. I am glad to bring you Poneke's entry for the AIG Rugby safe competition.

If we win the NZ round the club will receive US$5000 in equipment. Then we will be entered in to the grand prize round where your voting will count. The winner with the most votes will win US$20,000 for their Club.
For now fingers crossed, and let's hope we get a great result and some good publicity for the club. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this video.

Hey guys a reminder about touch tomorrow.

Calling up all Ravs! We are BACK NEXT SEASON. SO DUST OFF THEM BOOTS! Ill be updating this page with information over the next couple of months. Any one that is keen we will start pre season social touch in December. Please be aware that the team will be a social team and everyone will need to be registered and paid up before the start of the season. Although once you are paid up you will be giving a social membership card for exclusive discounts on beer and food and other things we are organising as part of being a member of the 85's team.

A big shout out to former Ravs players and supporters. Some of last year's Ravs boys are in this year's Cavs team on Saturday. It would be great to see you come along and support them as they play Division 1 Champions for the last 4 seasons MSP Blues on Saturday. It would be great to see you there!

Willie: Congrats to Rach and James Manttan with the birth of the first child. Alice Ruth Manttan was delivered today at 1:34pm weighing in at 6 pounds 9 ounces. Rach and baby are well and resting. And very proud Dad! Feel free to send a message or txt guys. Congrats again Jimmy!
