Easter 🐣 is just around the corner and this year it coincided with the Kihikihi HT. This weekend will see over 200 riders competing on the amazing ground of Kihikihi domain and the two private properties Paul and Jenny Kay’s and John and Karen Nicholson. Public is very welcome to come and watch we start Saturday morning at 8 am with dressage and show jumping and Sunday at 8.30 am with cross country. Horses and riders arrive from Friday onwards and we are asking you to be aware of moving vehicles and animals. If you are walking the park please keep your dogs on leash at all time so we don’t have any accidents. Sunday the cross country course goes around the whole park so please watch out for galloping horses. We look forward to the weekend and hope for great weather. Thanks for your support and consideration.

🐎 Polo at the Domain this Weekend!

Kihikihi Polo Club are hosting the Northern Polo NZ Champs this weekend at the Ngā Rakau Polo Ground, right beside the Domain.

📅 Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th March
🕛 Games start from 12PM (see attached draw for full schedule)

Bring the whānau along and enjoy an afternoon of fast-paced polo right here in Kihikihi.

☕ A coffee cart will be (hopefully) onsite
🍦 An ice cream van will also (hopefully) be there for a sweet treat
🚗 Parking available at the ground under the trees on the clubhouse side
🎟 Free entry – everyone welcome!

🐎 Waikato Rodeo Reminder – No Dogs at the Domain 🐕🚫

With the Waikato Rodeo happening this Friday 20th & Saturday 21st February at Kihikihi Domain, please remember that no dogs are allowed on site during these days.

This is for the safety of the horses, riders, spectators, and your pets.

We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us make this a safe and successful event for everyone. 💛

Kihikihi Horse Trial is holding two days of show jumping and training daysin the afternoons from 3.30 pm we are all across the domain so please watch out for horses and moving vehicles and we ask that people keep the dogs on leash at all time for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding

Dog Owners Reminder 🐾

Kihikihi Domain is a great place to exercise your dogs, and we love seeing our community out enjoying this space with their fur babies! Please be a responsible dog owner and pick up after your dog. Dog poo bins are conveniently provided around the domain for easy disposal.

Let’s keep the area clean and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you! 🐶💚

This week at Kihikihi Domain will see the annual Kihikihi Horse Trials return. People walking the park will already have seen the cross country placed around the grounds. Horses and people will start arriving on Friday with Dressage and Show jumping on the Saturday and Sunday is the fabled cross country. People are very welcome to come and watch at any time. There will be food vendors and stalls as well Saturday and Sunday.

Please be aware that there are horses people and vehicles moving on the grounds. If you are walking the dogs these 3 days please keep the dogs on leash especially when the cross country is on. Horses will gallop the whole domain on Sunday and the main gate 3 will be locked all day until the end of the day.

DOG ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE TWO PRIVATE PROPERTIES.

The main event office will be at the pony club house by the rodeo yards if there is any problem or if you have any questions.

Come and enjoy a fabulous weekend and see some amazing horses and riders taking on the famous Kihikihi Horse Trial course.
