Ready for the 2024/25 season.
Unfortunately the rain did win this weekend. We had planned for Palmy opening and Wellington opening but both were postponed.
We will try again for Palmy this coming weekend.

We are excited to get back out there with our new design this season. Make sure to pop down and have a look and grab yourself one of our new stickers!

Saloon Grand Prix

On Sunday we headed across to Stratford, after Saturdays was postponed due to rain.

Heat 1 - grid 13 finishing in 9th

Heat 2 - grid 2 finishing 1st

This had me 6th on points heading into the feature.

Feature - started grid 6, was sitting in 3rd until the last lap when I left the gap open for someone to get under me. Finished 4th.

Overall really happy with the weekend, getting closer and closer to the title podium! Great to get to race with some other very competitive drivers!

This Saturday I will be racing in Meeanee and Sunday in Rotorua.

Palmy champs

Last weekend we had our home track champs, good field of cars and managed to come away with 3rd place after some good battles.

Heat 1 - grid 4 to 3rd place
Heat 2 - grid 11 to 3rd place

This had me sitting on 2nd for points.
Feature - grid 1 finishing 3rd overall.

This afternoon we are racing in Stratford for our Grand Prix.
Over Easter weekend we will be heading to Meeanee & Rotorua

Racing is postponed tonight due to weather.

We managed to get our second heat race in last night. Starting 8th it was a competitive and rough race, unfortunately dropping back a few place we managed to avoid any chaos and get back to 8th place to finish.

Plenty of washing up to do today and a good check over of the car while we wait for tomorrow’s racing.

Racing postponed today!

Monday afternoon timeline as follows:

Pit Gates Open: 10am
Public Gates Open: 12:00pm
Saloon Drivers Briefing: 12:30pm
Other Classes Briefing: 1:00pm
Race 1 Start: 2:00pm

Race programme will start with the 3 Saloon qualifying heats left from night 1, then proceed as normal with night 2 programme.

Sunday online tickets will transfer to Monday and be available for use.

Our New Zealand Champs are offically underway. Dad and Taylor have put in a heap of work in over the past week or so to make sure nothing was missed!

Definitely a bit wet in the pits but the track surface is holding up nicely!

Our grids for tonight are 4, 8 & 1.

Last weekend we raced at Robertson Prestige International Speedway, was a big night doing double duties in the Super Saloons and Saloons. Overall was a pretty good night for us with some good battles.

Saloons

Heat 1 - Started on grid 9, had a big field of cars to get through but managed to make my way up into 3rd place and had the second fastest lap time.

Heat 2 - We started in grid 5, this was a close race with a couple other drives, came away in 3rd place.

Feature - With our points from the heats, we were given grid 3. Had a great start and got out in the lead early on, with a great set up we came away with the checkered.

Super Saloons

Heat 1 - We started in grid 5, because of the close turn around between saloon & super heats we weren’t able to make our regular adjustments we would normally make, however this didn’t matter we were keeping up and managed to stay in 5th.

Heat 2 - This heat was back to back with our Saloon race. Starting in grid 3, managed to come away in second place, despite getting picked up in the final corner we held on to this position.

Feature - Equal on points with a few other drives, our grid was decided by lap times putting us in grid 4. We had enough time after the Saloon feature to make the changes we needed for the Super Saloons. We were having a great run in the top 3, until we half spun in turn 1/2, putting us back and finishing in 6th place.
